BIOGRAPHY:

Aleš Prevolšek was born on 11/28/1985 in Celje and currently presents himself under his pseudonym called Alexo aka Basic "CTRL" aka Pure Control. At a very young age Aleš was  already showing affection and tendencies towards music, which he then pursued by enrolling into musical school, where he was taught the arts of playing drums and piano for 7 years.

At the age of 15 his path crossed with electronic music, particularly progressive house, which was at that time represented by DJ's such as: Lexicon Avenue, Echomen, Little Green Man, Satoshi Tomie, Kasey Taylor, Chus & Cheballos, Dario Nunez, Andre Absolut, Dr. Kucho, Inkfish, Rick Pier O`Niel, Sergio Fernandez, Cytric, D-Formation, and others. These performers left a deep impression on him, so much so, that he bought his frist DJing equipment and studied the art for 4 years and alongside of it, he was slowly starting to build his production.

It was at private birthday parties, where at first Aleš astonished the crowds and after 2 years he got his first big break, appearing under his stage name ALEXO on a show called: Support your local DJ, held at club Escape in Celje. His progressive style won him the auditions and ensured him the position in the second round in club Afrika in Trebnje. His performance in Trebnje got him into finals in a club called Fun Factory (presently known as Inbox). He didn't land a win there but got tremendeous amount of experience and many new acquaintances from the world of electronic music.

What followed was his first Extended play release, published under Sound Evoluton Records which boasted a selection of somewhat harder beats. Of all the tracks from his first EP, Euphoria was the one that was  listened to the most throughout the world. Soon after ALEKSO RECORDS was born. Aleš started releasing productions under his own label of which the 3rd release caught the eye of Pedro Delgardo. Delgardo show cased the track EXPLOSION on one of his shows (Session On Vonyc with Pedro Delgardo), which gave Aleš the motivation and ambition to go on and produce countless releases under various labels such as: Subcult Techno, Stars Traxx, Keep On Techno, Techno Artillery, Sound Evolution, Alekso Records, etc. He collaborated with Mat303 & Josh Love, Audioklinik, Mark Ankh, Rantan, Omega Drive, Dastin, just to name a few. He also produced a vocal track in collaboration with Miss Sparx called Break The Tradition, which was published under ALEKSO RECORDS. The enthusiasm and recognition of his skills grew ever increasingly and landed him performances throughout the country in clubs like: Inbox-Ljubljana, Štuk-Maribor, Yucatan-Šentilj, Impulz-Maribor, Afrika-Trebnje, Kaos-Idrija, Armada-Mozirje, Royal-Slovenj Gradec and others. His tracks were aired on foreign radio stations such as Pure Fm and many others. He did smaller shows as well, Djing in youth centers and college clubs all up to the point of 2010 following a much needed break...

The year 2011 was spent resting and recharging. His interest in Techno slowly withered and he shifted back to styles such as Progressive, Goa, Psy, Trance and Deep House. The next year saw the rise of composing music once again. Aleš started working on a new colorful vocal track, enriched by progressive trance beats, which is still in the making.

The beggining of 2013 gave way to a complete transformation. Out of that transformation came 2 new pseudonyms. The first, BASIC »CTRL«, is emersed in beats of Progressive Trance and goa, while the other called PURE CONTROL, offers rich sounds of Progressive House, Deep House and Psy-Progressive Goa.
