This month's spiralling, naturally show sees host basic chanel invite Australian artist Zara onto Netil Radio, taking over an hour each. Zara's recent releases on Butter Sessions with Command D and solo on amenthia recordings as well as Animalia, Amniote Editions, QEONE, and Pure Space, have been a staple in my sets so I'm super excited to welcome Zara on the show whilst she's here in London! A big tip from me as a producer & DJ to watch with an incredibly exciting run of releases coming up. <3

Joining him on the show will be the 3024-affiliated artist Ehua, who recently released her debut album Panta Rei, and yingtuitive, who also just released her debut album, Letters To Self 寫情書, on Will Hofbauer's Third Place label.

"i’ve always found the concept of healing to be very abstract and esoteric to the point it seemed somewhat inaccessible, like it’s for other people. for me it’s something that those privileged enough to be exposed to it don’t want to define. for men in particular it can seem more elusive as there’s an inherent hardness which is reluctant to soften. there is a femininty attached to the concept of healing which can feel exclusive.

because of this i find it easy to call bullshit when people describe something impractical (such as a dj mix) as “healing” because enforces this intangibleness. other people are healed by it, but i’m not etc.

i’ve come to realize that take this literally is to miss the point. the act of healing is so personal, complex and never ending that it can’t be explained or administered by some artistic piece, and that any expectation that this is the case can only result in disappointment and continuation of this exclusatory cycle.

one thing i am sure of however is that the entry point is to first feel. feeling creates the conditions for exploration and acknowledgement of what is there, and only from here can we begin to look at what healing looks like for us. art generally and music specifically are cheat codes to feeling - they can reveal a numbness we may not know we had.

so this 2 hours of music was never intended to heal (though making it was healing for me). it was made instead to help us feel. it is a personal reflection of heartbreak and grief in its many forms, but i don’t consider it sad. i hope it helps someone who needs to feel, feel(:" - kraka

Dearest @shoall with the new installment of Animix - a recent label affiliate, after his standout 2025 Animalia EP "Temporal Blend". Kenny is an incredibly talented artist - his crispy, driving & psychedelic productions, via an impress slew of vinyl releases in recent years, as well as spelllbinding live-sets. consisently leave me mesmerised. 

Shoal's music really embodies the Animalia vision - not genre bound , but an amalgamation of broad styles,  and influences from many different worlds.. . & most importantly, full of personality. 

Kenny has his own unique flavour and sound, and his passion & love for music can really be felt in his delicate attention to detail & sense for hypnotic groove.. not to mention flawless sound design.& ability to think outside the box. 

A no brainer for the Animix series really :)
