A DJ, producer, and live performer from Tilff, Belgium, Ethan Fawkes has spent decades refining his unmistakable fusion of rave techno, EBM, and industrial soundscapes. His music carries the pulse of the 80s and 90s... raw, emotional, and deeply human, bringing the authentic spirit of old-school rave culture into the present.

With a relentless DIY ethos and a catalogue spanning No Label, Qubiq Platinium, Still Distant Records, and Nu Body Records, Ethan’s sound blends nostalgia with cyber-futurism. His 2025 album Rave Around The Clock stands as a love letter to the roots of techno, powerful, hypnotic, and unapologetically underground.

This Techno Edition showcases his world in full force: a journey through acid lines, body music, and cyber-industrial textures, including several exclusive 2025 Cyber Versions and reworks from his own archives.

CCPAR Podcast 145 | Ethan Fawkes |Techno Edition

R 417 is a techno DJ and producer from Chelyabinsk. He began his journey in drum and bass with releases on labels such as Inception:Λudio before shifting his focus to techno. Inspired by the industrial atmosphere of his hometown and its rare but powerful parties, R 417 shapes a sound that blends Berlin-style groove with hardgroove and tribal elements, layered with subtle ethnic percussion.

With releases on BCCO (DE), ROOF (DE), Trau-ma (PT), Complex Fractals (USA), BONKERS (RU), GRUVALISMO (AR), and Resonance Moscow (RU), his sets sit in the fast lane — 140 to 150 BPM — combining driving grooves, distorted synths, vocal fragments, and raw industrial energy.

This mix was recorded at home early in the morning after a club show, featuring some of the same tracks from his set the night before. It includes many of his own productions, both released and unreleased, capturing the energy and atmosphere of that night.
