Emotional Response celebrates its 50th release with a special limited-edition from label stalwart Roy Of The Ravers. Following 2019’s magnum opus White Sunrise II is the accompanying “Le Roy Soliel”, where our nom dee plume delves further into his archives of recently rediscovered disks to present an 8-track double pack, cut loud for DJ play. 

The music too is more expansive, with the ambient and techno signatures matched with touches of jazz keys, Balearic sampledelica and even acoustic outtakes, all with that Ravers humour included. 

The opening cinematic symphonies of The Smell Of Orange Peel and Kliszewicz Klopcic Klim highlight again a side not seen on his more acid / club cuts found on various labels. However, it’s the B side that compounds expectations with the deep house meets techno melodics of City Limits, before the ever-expanding feel-good vibrations of center piece Feathers hooks all. Sometimes a simple groove and catchy vocal sample is all you need to create a classic. 

The second half then glides with 14 minutes of house dramatics via Versace 101624, a master of arrangement and beats, preempting the interlude of Clock House’s return. To close, EL-9400’s intense scatter percussion melds with anthemic acid undertones before its 2nd half melts to a choral ambience, leading to the closing acoustic jam dub curiosity My Brother And His Mate and the curtain for another stage in the Roy sagas...The Sun King!

B2. Roy Of The Ravers - Feathers

What a mad year, a massive rollercoaster of emotions and unforeseen events in nearly all aspects. Is human kind on its peak of bleakness? Yes, no, maybe? I dont know I guess it could get worse.  Again in the lockdown sandwich and hopefully save. The mustard is rotting, but who cares. Rich suckers got richer than ever and the climat crisis is on the horizon, giving us a sneak peak on what to expect. But well, who cares? Kids want to get rich or die trying. A world full of speculative madness and i am really bored of it. Is there  no special anti capitalism vaccine? I wish. 

I know, there is hope! Communitism, solidarity and awareness is also spreading and its visible. I hope you re good so far and healthy. Lets keep on positive. New reality , just better. Well, Lustpoderosa will continue to stay true, promised. Eclectic lifestyle for ever. And this mix by Estebahn is a very good example of a solid taste for future challenges. Very happy to have him on board and soon with a great EP with his current project LMB together with his friend Emil Gelford aka Yolek (@yolek) Thanks to all Listeners and readers, glad you exist - happy new year. this is the last mix for 2021. A Dub Techno Journey is a compilation that traverses Dantes circles of Hell, transforming them into hypnotic and profound soundscapes. Each track represents a canto from Dantes Inferno, interpreted by producers from different parts of the world, united by a shared sensitivity for dub techno vibrations. The idea was conceived by Francesco Tamburrano, who envisioned a musical journey blending literature and sonic exploration, and took shape through the collaboration with the label Superordinate, always attentive to visionary projects with an international scope. The result is a dark and immersive path, where enveloping basslines and deep echoes guide the listener on a sonic pilgrimage through Dantes Inferno.
