Very good choice of a song to cover! I love the first King Crimson album. My band used to play this song at the end of the '90s. Of course we left out the long improvised part at the end too... ;-) You put your own spin to it here. I also like the idea to use the bongos. It isn't as good as the original of course but you made your own interesting version of it. It was such a lovely thing to hear this song here.

I love what you did here! Your guitar and vocal additions at the end of the song are all very good. Was some of it improvised? Well, it's just excellent.

This photograph was taken by an American photojournalist, Joe O’Donnell, in Nagasaki in 1945.
He recently spoke to a Japanese interviewer about this picture:
“I saw a boy about ten years old walking by. He was carrying a baby on his back. In those days in Japan, we often saw children playing with their little brothers or sisters on their backs, but this boy was clearly different. I could see that he had come to this place for a serious reason. He was wearing no shoes. His face was hard. The little head was tipped back as if the baby were fast asleep.
“The boy stood there for five or ten minutes. The men in white masks walked over to him and quietly began to take off the rope that was holding the baby. That is when I saw that the baby was already dead. The men held the body by the hands and feet and placed it on the fire.
“The boy stood there straight without moving, watching the flames. He was biting his lower lip so hard that it shone with blood. The flame burned low like the sun going down. The boy turned around and walked silently away.”

When I first heard 'Perfect Life' from Steven Wilson's excellent new record 'Hand. Cannot. Erase.', I immediately wanted to weave in the 'Scarlet Carson' speech by Valerie Page from James McTeigue's 2006 film, 'V For Vendetta'.
So, here it is, a little rough and ready - but, I think the vocal and music work pretty well together.

This was made mainly with my guitar. It is in 7-4 time signature. It was used for both my Health Reminder and Take This Pill cartoons. When I made it, I got a nostalgic feeling from when I used to live in Hull in 2005. The nostalgia was cold and I felt a little distant. 2005 seems like a strange alien time that I never really existed in. If I could visit any part of my life again it would be 2005. I wouldn't stay for very long though. This version ends a little abruptly. I don't know if the album version is the same, I don't have it to hand. This is from the album INKBRUSH
