Currently residing in Madrid, melomaniac DJ and music maker; Juan José Montero aka Basic I.D.A. delivers cosmic techno, with a taste for the breaks and hypnotic vibes.  Clearly influenced by styles like post punk, alternative rock & new wave music... Self proclaimed "conscious weirdo", captures the vibe of his electronic journeys well.

On a personal quest for elevated communication from his vision, aimed for inner progress of the human being via electronic music -  Basic I.D.A. is a true music lover by nature - His passion for electronic music began at the end of the 90's, since then he has not stopped traveling around the globe attending the most underground sessions and clubs of the current electronic scene.

His idea focuses on disrupting the master lines of all deformable spectrograms, thus shaping his characteristic vision of electronic dance music as a means of electronic conveyance.

Currently based in Madrid (ES), Basic I.D.A. / Basic I.D.A is the artistic music project of dj and producer Juan José Montero Ramos

Melomaniac by nature, with an insanely extensive and eclectic music background. Clearly influenced by styles like punk, post punk and alternative rock and pop music, his passion for electronic music began at the end of the '90s; launching his professional career as dj and producer in 2009.

Organically becoming a music maker devoted to entering alluring, raving and funny states.

On the basis of significantly broad musical spectrum, his sets are mostly loaded with the classiest spooky electronic beats to the most advanced cosmic techno; slow tempo beats lead us towards a sophisticated mutant club sound. Adding together his taste for the breaks and hypnotic vibes, along with a storytelling inclination, they result in an engaging vision of electronic dance music.
