About Alicea[Germany|Munich]:

Alicea is a passionate Dub Techno DJ and promoter from Munich (Germany). While the genre still receives little attention in Germany, she wants to bring the magic of spherical music out into the world. Chords and reverb, echo and phaser effects take the listener to distant worlds that invite you to dream. But Alicea's sound also leads to dance and groove. She herself plays as a DJ in well-known clubs in Munich and often combines Dub Techno with other types of Techno and House elements to create completely new combinations of the known techno genres.
It is her passion for the music that keeps pushing her to play in the underground clubs of Munich and Germany. She also advocates for more female DJs in club culture, organizes DJ workshops for FLINTA+ individuals and fights for balance in the electronic music scene as a mentor. Female DJs are still often ridiculed or booked as quota women. A good reason to support the music of female DJs and give them the same chances as their male colleagues. 
The set was recorded live at @harrykleinclub on 08.10.

Sounds and elements intertwined, the atmosphere is drowning in infinity. Magical fire burns musical patterns. This album - Alchemical Process. Process that destroys ordinary consciousness and transforms it into structural lines.

Alchemy in true form. The sound at the base is heavy like metal, he melts in the metaphysical furnace, evaporates and formed new structures. Fragments of nature are woven into the material and immediately disappear, everything is mixed. Layers of sound become a monolithic musical canvas. Process is going on.

Quintessence of past "magia" works. A total mystical atmosphere covers the album from start to finish. Foggy visions, ghost lights, secret symbols and other unreality moments accompanied me while I was writing this album.

Greyscale continues its stellar run into the new decade and brings aboard a new artist for its latest release. St.Petersburg based and Karelian born BOTN (Breath of the North). Credit BOTN here for 4 tracks of minimalistic and enveloping gems for the brain and feet that are without borders or frames. 'Tranquility' is the apt name for the first inclusion. Its heavenly melodic resonance and wonderfully balanced percussion are pure magic. Veteran producer Altitude (Matt Thibideau) takes on the remix duties and works up a bubbly and energetic version. Very reminiscent to the classic sounds of Savvas Ysatis on Tresor around the time of the new millennium. If you know, you know. Sandwiched inbetween them is 'Path to the Void' & 'Liar'. The former is verging on a minimalist and dark banger with addictive subliminal rhythm changes while the latter introduces an acid line to the party. Acid in dub techno?! We told you there's no borders here! There is much to enjoy here. Each track plays well on its own and are very DJ friendly. These are all honest, melodic and rhythmic pleasing representations of the genre. Greyscale continue to find fresh new artists and perspectives for its label. If you are looking for dub techno that is as equally deep and catchy as it danceable then this is one to have!
