Basicnoise - Zeitlose

Fresh from the Dutch dub techno, and house label, Spclnch (read Spacelunch) is the forthcoming Labyrinth EP from the mysterious Mielafon. Full to the brim with groove and feeling, our premiere for today lands squarely on Alexander Bogdanov and his take on the title track.

Building upon the melodic cues from the original, the Minsk based Bogdanov takes things in a decidedly more subdued fashion. Letting the chords develop and swell to the forefront, all while peppering in bits of texture, of claps, a hiss here and there. These details all lend towards a warm overall feeling that works well within the confines of bass-line and staccato like high-hats.

Alexander Bogdanov’s remix, and in turn the rest of the EP will be out on Spclnch October 14th.

20 years ago, i started my electronic music journey and about 8 of them, i produce my own waveforms. I’ve always tried to bring my own visions to life and do the things i love in the way that seems to be right for me. With Spectral Ranges my first album arrives and i‘m very exited to finally present it to you all.

A huge part of my art always has been the DIY concept. The projects goal was to do it 100% my self. Starting from writing and producing the music, up the to mastering and building 100 wooden cd cases including carbonated compact discs for the physical version of the album. I seriously underestimated how much work you can put into a project like this and realized, that especially the physical version isn’t buildable alone in terms of precision and an overall good quality, so the guys from CNC-Holzbude (www.cnc-holzbude.de - special thanks to Mr.Chips) helped me out in the development process and milled the raw cases with their CNC-Machine.

Just as the music is inspired by nature, so are the cd cases. They are handmade products, mostly out of natural materials. CNC-milled at CNC-Holzbude (www.cnc-holzbude.de - special thanks to Mr.Chips). Hand-sanded, glued, assembled, painted and hand-stamped by Schulz Audio. There are of course irregularities and flaws which give every single case its own uniqueness.

The overall project is a synthesis of art for me and i hope you find some peace and inspiration in it.
