BasicSexxx is a collaborative effort between hip-hop artist Sami Seal and experimental hip-hop producer Rem_OD with an ambitious goal: to bring imagination back to Hip-Hop. The name stems from a central aspect of internet culture: trolling. "Basic" because the music is anything but; and "Sexxx" because the duo grew tired of hearing "sex" sells, so instead of removing clothing, decided to put it in the name as a middle finger to those who share that sentiment. All BasicSexxx tracks, including FREAKwhensees, are fully written by Sami Seal and fully produced/mixed/mastered by Rem_OD. Their upcoming debut EP and novella, MINT, is set in a dystopian near-future, following an announcement that changes the world. FREAKwhensees, which contains a reading from the novella, serves as a calling to higher-frequency individuals ready for hip-hop to be shaken like never before. Enjoy your experience.
