An intense introspection of sound deconstructionism and spacial dissonance presented in this 4 track (plus 2 lock grooves) EP entitled Nonharmonic Beautifault. 

The A Side is introduced with the track 'Blank Hand', a sludge fuelled walk into dusty audio bites and asthmatic rhythms, topped with screaming hoovers and TV static that at once builds up, collapses into beautiful cacophony. Leading us into the 'Body Molecule' - A rushing pad and sparkling percussion pinned to a rolling kick pattern that drives this track toward a central point of attacking synths and swarming soundscape. The run out locked groove features a deep distorted kick that loops into infinity. 

The other side starts with 'Angular Beautifault'. Acidic Rhythms and Buzz Saw Synths all washed together into a shimmering reverberated cavern that explodes with high powered clap patterns and bubbling 303 lines. Following this we have 'The Burin' - an uncompromising, high paced assault of power kicks and slanted percussion. Incessantly driving and unyielding towards the final lock groove of distorted sub loop. 

Nonharmonic Beautifault represents a shift in Positive Centre's work that aims beyond the delicate ambience into harder and darker sound territories. 

Nonharmonic Beautifault EP will be released on 12" vinyl and digital on February 19.

Rekids return with an ethereal release from unknown producer Patrick Conway featuring Hessle Audio’s Pangaea on remix duties.

Syncopated percussion introduces ‘Sandy Lane’ whilst ebbing pads and metallic nuances add to an overall shadowy aesthetic. ‘Orbit’ then sees intricate breaks, ghostly synths and murky melodies join
piercing vocal cries before Pangaea delivers a cacophonous remix combining crunchy drums with effervescent notes and a pulsating low-end.

Much could be said about German house royalty Boris Dlugosch. From his teen DJ years under the wings of Front’s legendary Klaus Stockhausen in Hamburg to his own marvelous tenure there that is pretty much synonymous with the explosion of Acid House in its proto- and post-incarnations.  One could examine his role as a herald of US garage and Jersey house or as a remixer of underground gone pop records. But we will leave that and other stories for the Front page soon. The „Traveller EP“ is the result of Dlugosch and Cassara meeting at a mutual friend of theirs, getting excited about their shared love for classic synths (see Sh-101 for the Traveller bass line) and exploiting the latter’s extensive synth collection. What you get: classic disco, French house, electro-funk, DJ sound effects (that tractor plowed the Front EVERY night) and most of all fun, fun and a little bit of extra fun. Supernaive are two brothers from Paris, France, merging electronic and acoustic music in a delicate and unique manner. Bloggers, critics and music fans praise them as a fresh and creative band, composing with colors and emotions, in a Japanese pop culture-like fashion, which the Supernaive brothers refer to as a major influence. Their new “Dazed & Confused” EP makes on one hand reference to a magazine with covers which evokes sophisticated – but sometimes disillusioned – portraits. And on the other hand, to Richard Linklater’s movie of 1993, which shows us the last day of some fairly lost high school students at the beginning of summer 76. “With this EP, we wanted to speak about adolescence, sex, girls, and the passage to adulthood”.

We are especially pleased to be able to offer you the official re-release of this 'lost' 6-track mini
album by New Yorker Ben Cenac (of Newcleus fame). It was recorded and released in 1990 and is
an absolute gem of a record, which is very much in the vein of Larry Heard's best recordings.
Electronic soul classic! Now available again for the first time in 22 years, remastered + full artwork.
'A truly, dreamy, beautiful classic deep-house mini-album from the golden-post-Larry Heard era.
New-yorker Ben Cenac, who was also member of electro pioneers Newcleus (and part of Sha-lor,
who had a cool jazzy garage-house hit in the late 80's), shows a great sensibility and delicacy here
in following mr Heard's path.
His approach is perhaps slightly more sci-fi in the synths and pad sounds, and perhaps a tad less
crafted and mercurial in production than the master (ie less timeless), but this adds in realness and
charm.
So, past the classic deep-garage dream "My Love Turns To Liquid" (in the vein of these sultry
garage productions from Peter and Vanessa Daou), the rest of the record shows constant quality,
with song titles that could have been (or actually have been) used by Mr Heard himself, and a
content oscillating between warming deep-house, sweet acid, lush garage and relaxed spacejazz
piano parts, the whole thing also evoking the Beloved's better 'rave' moments ("The Sun Rising"
etc).
This record could be studied in university as the synthesis of the deep-house scene of the early
