TF #052: Reggy Van Oers [Affin Records I The Gods Planet]

Reggy Van Oers (RVO) has definitely found a sound that fits the world of techno. His trademark has become a dive into trance-inducing darkness, which can be heard on his releases, his many remixes and his track selection in general. With the experimental nature of his techno style he creates a 3 dimensional environment in his tracks, it combines melodic elements with deep hypnotizing rhythms that roll off your body and stay ever changing.

After his debut release “Metza” on Trapez Ltd in 2007 he got great feedback from out the globe. Both tracks on this EP were used in the Trapez Selection 6 mixed by Traum’s label owner Riley Reinhold aka Triple R. Soon after his debut EP he released “Matar” on Field Records that later on was licensed to Manual Music. Berghain’s resident DJ Boris, played “Matar” many times in his sets and selected it as a favourite in his all time top ten tracks.

While have been producing for several labels, most of his creative output has been released on Joachim Spieth’s imprint Affin. His music has been remixed by artists like Giorgio Gigli, Jonas Kopp, Ness, Developer, Hans Bouffmyhre and the BCR Boys.

"A Separate Lineage" is the brand new EP on Ownlife label. This release retrieves Leiras usual footprint sweeping through different intensity levels and soundscapes. 
"Genetics" supplies the right amount of energy to open the record while "No Partial Truth" evokes a rougher sound reminiscent of the 90's. "A Separate Lineage" is a showcase of contained pressure, guiding the listener into a hypnotic state. The final track, "Dry Ocean", rounds out the EP as it dives deep into an otherworldly sonic plain.

Deepbass was introduced to the scene in 2009 his music is best described as deep, dark, atmospherical techno.  Born in Glasgow, he started producing music in 2008 and from there his sound evolved, always minimalistic, elements of ambient, hypnotic rhythms and deep rolling baseline’s. In 2010 he launched his label Informa Records as a platform to express himself and to explore further into his brand of deep techno. The label is going strong has now had to opportunity to work with artists such as Modern Heads, Cio D’Or, Mark Broom, Edit Select Echologist, Ness, Hironori Takahashi, nAX_Acid and many more high quality artists. Deepbass has had a string of releases on some great labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Aconito Records and Shapeless Records. Enjoy !

Hydrangea is a new French electronic producer, doing techno music deeply inspired by nature and its surroundings. She began producing music in early 2014, influenced mainly by the deep and hypnotic Italian techno.

So far, the Annulled Music Imprint has released Hydrangea's debut album, called 'Dawn Lights', a sensorial trip that captures each of your senses. She also released an EP on Two&Two Records and tracks on VA compilations, such as The Wandering II Compilation out on Silent Season. Besides being constantly preoccupied in reshaping her sound and developing new ways of expression through music, she's also a graphic designer and photographer under the alias Horty Shooter, managing the artworks for different music releases and graphic art projects.
