Who knew that all you have to do to make a slow track is to turn down the tempo?

Seriously, I was frustratedly struggling with this.

Felt bad about not having uploaded anything in a month, let alone original works, so have this!

That said, it's only MOSTLY original. Sometimes when I don't have the energy to work on my main projects, I put on Dunc's AlgoMusic (any version), start typing random things in, and see if I can make something inspired by the results. The first 40 seconds of this song are heavily inspired by the results of putting a name into version 5.6; the rest I made up on the way. If I make more of these that I'd actually like to share, I'll probably bundle them together as an album of sorts, but... we'll see.

Question: does this actually count as chiptune? Some samples were exported from FT and then imported, but others I just "drew" in OpenMPT, so I just went with electronic for now. If you have a suggestion for a more fitting label, please tell me!

I got into this series sometime in the beginning of this year - but since I don't have a Switch I couldn't go with the Tetris crossover and settled for the DS games instead (ie. 15th and 20th anniversary). The funny thing is, I had listened to Oshare's theme long before finding out where it was from, so once I heard it ingame in 15thAnniversary I was struck by heavy nostalgia and thought "I NEED to do something with this!" Not sure why it took me so long to finish, but considering the 24th apparently is his birthday as well I'd say the delay was thematically appropriate.

For the record, I should probably mention I wasn't able to perform this one with my current equipment, so it's just replaying a MIDI version. While I could play each hand separately, my current synth doesn't have enough octaves for both at the same time.

[Piano Arrange] Looking for a Visitor

About five years ago, I wanted to write a song about an encounter with something fierce under the ocean. I imagined a diver going deeper and deeper into the water, the lamp on their forehead swaying from side to side while they took their surroundings in... And once they were in pitch-black darkness, they looked forward only to be met by a full army's worth of beasts that defied description. Hence the title.

My first attempt at writing it didn't turn out so well, but the melodies were stuck in my head for years afterwards. So when I got an upgrade for SampleTank as a Christmas gift this year, I thought it was time to test the new stuff out by revisiting the song. Now it sounds more like a dramatic boss fight of some sort than what I had in mind originally, but either way I feel like I can say: yes, I am 100% fine with how this sounds, now I can let it be. (unless I decide to remaster it in another five years but shhh)

Yes, it's officially one year since I resumed sharing original works. Thought I would celebrate by remaking the very first song I put up on this site. Was pretty happy with the original so it's mostly a touch-up. ("Wait, why is the album art handdrawn when it's chiptune?" Don't ask.)

Also announced a few future plans in a linked pastebin for the occasion, but the link went out. Just to give context behind a comment.
