Regent, born and based in Berlin, has been making a name for himself in recent years with high-energy, oldschool-reminiscent DJ sets and effective club sound productions.
Having recently joined the Planet Rhythm family with several red hot releases and his debut 4-track vinyl "Iron Dreams", Regent intends to revive and reinterpret the oldschool techno sound, pairing techno nostalgia with its future sci-fi counterparts.

For our 32nd basislager podcast, Regent delivers a fast-paced 90s & 00s rooted mix. The concept here was to not linger on one vibe for too long, allowing for some naughty twists and turns and an hour packed with a variety of effective breakbeat, tribal and techno cuts.

I am usually not a fan of sharing online the experience of a live set. The emotion, energy and aurea of that moment is something that cannot be grasped with a simple click. 
However, since the moment I touched the decks during this mix, I intuitively knew it was going to be something special… something which I would be happy for those who were not there to partially feel, listen and enjoy. This set includes a selection of my favorite tracks from this year -some older some newer- and all fundamental to create a linear, coherent story.

We’re approaching the end of 2022, a year in which a lot has flourished and we were allowed to dance with you again without restrictions! To close off this year we’re back with the annual December Series where we invited four artists to showcase their sound, every week until the new year starts.

The last podcast of the year will be provided by an artist who almost doesn’t need an introduction anymore; the French DJ and producer Antigone. Over the past decade Antigone’s music has been highly acclaimed; with releases on labels such as Pole Group, Token, Trip and WSNWG to name a few, his discography speaks for itself. Still being at the forefront of the French techno scene, Antigone nowadays is also mentor for a whole new generation of electronic music producers and dj’s.

Antigone created a one-hour groover where builds up the tension towards the tail of the mix, to end the year properly! Listen to the sound of Antigone here, enjoy!
