The nearly two-week break for the Adelaide 36ers is almost over and we are back on Sixers Fix with Scott Ninnis to talk about everything to do with the 36ers, #NBL22 and we've got a special #AsktheLegend segment thanks to Sports Card World.

It's been nearly two weeks but we open up Sixers Fix by looking back on the last two games for the 36ers, a loss in Tasmania to the JackJumpers and a win over Melbourne United in overtime to end their eight-game winning streak.

We break down all the good and bad from those two games including the stunning game-winning performance of Dusty Hannahs, the stepping up of Cam Bairstow, the turnover count and Scott gives his votes in the Premium Wine Tours Player of the Year award.

We then continue on by casting our eyes across the rest of the NBL and Scott gives his thoughts on the marching Tasmania JackJumpers, struggling Illawarra Hawks, if Melbourne United need to add another piece, Jeremiah Martin leaving the New Zealand Breakers, Adam Gibson back as a COVID replacement player and the Perth Wildcats 40th Anniversary Team.

Another shake up for this week on Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle with another all-time great, Matty Knight, stepping into the hosting chair to discuss all the latest with #NBL22 with the insights only he can provide while we also catch up with Cairns Taipans legend Alex Loughton.

Three-time NBL champion and three-time All-NBL Team member Matty Knight is the co-host alongside Chris Pike for this week's Hoops Heaven's Basketball Hustle and there's plenty for us to get through after Round 11 of the NBL.

We begin discussing the remarkable finish to the Sydney Kings-Brisbane Bullets game on Sunday with the Jaylen Adams game winning dunk, offensive rebound and dish off to Jarell Martin. We discuss the implications of that on both the winning Kings and losing Bullets.

We also discuss Melbourne United's win over the Perth Wildcats with Matty believing Melbourne need to stick with the team they've got but perhaps the Wildcats need to add a big while he also pays tribute to 400-game former teammate Jesse Wagstaff.

Other topics covered include the Tasmania JackJumeprs without Will Magnay, the struggles of the Illawarra Hawks and the signing of NBA champion Ian Clark for the Sydney Kings.

It's then time to catch up with former 311-game NBL great Alex Loughton. We discuss his thoughts on his beloved Cairns Taipans after a couple of rough losses in Round 11. He offers his insights into the return of Scott Machado and what it means for the likes of Tahjere McCall and Bul Kuol. We open up this week's show by looking back on last week's discussion about jersey retirements and Simon Mitchell gives his verdict on Darryl McDonald at Melbourne United and Eric Cooks at the Illawarra Hawks.

Before we get stuck into the hot topics, Simon Mitchell opens up the show talking about what he loved most from NBL Round 9 and it was being thankful that we have Bryce Cotton and Milton Doyle in the league doing what they do best.

The Cairns Taipans used the FIBA break to change things up and there were good signs against Brisbane, then it all came together against Melbourne with Simon Mitchell talking about Adam Forde's outstanding coaching performance, what he did so well and why Dean Vickerman would be furious with his team.

It was an eventful weekend for New Zealand Breakers coach Mody Maor and Simon Mitchell talks about why he didn't deserve to be ejected in win over Adelaide and has nothing to answer for with post-match comments, and his genuine care for the NBL needs to be embraced. The NBL travel schedule became a hot talking point after tough doubles for the New Zealand Breakers and Adelaide 36ers against fresh opponents coming out of Christchurch. While Simon Mitchell felt the Breakers could still hold their heads high, he couldn’t say the same for the Sixers.

There's plenty going on at the Adelaide 36ers on the back of two tough road losses to New Zealand and Tasmania, with the Sixers then putting the blame on the travel schedule. Simon Mitchell thinks now it's time to give the kids a go, park some guys not getting the job done and take a stance with the starting line-up.

The Brisbane Bullets shook off three tough losses from winning positions for two wins in Round 9 with Simon Mitchell sure that Justin Schueller would be thrilled but at the same time still looking for ways to close out games better moving forward.

Izayah Le'afa is playing some tremendous basketball for the New Zealand Breakers and he needs to in the absence of Will McDowell-White and Simon Mitchell is in a good position to discuss him given he gave him his first start in the NBL at the South East Melbourne Phoenix.
