"In a sea of identikit imprints, Berlin born label Exploited continues to surprise and impress us with their unique and varied output. Case in point, this new video release from Paris DJ duo CLAAP! and DJ-cum-vocalist Santana – no, not the Spanish guitar legend, but someone altogether more modern. Part of a “mini compilation” edition (and an ongoing series) that also includes cuts from Until The Ribbon Breaks, Sirens Of Lesbos and K.E.E.N.E., “Jacques” has finally got the video treatment, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Oozing holiday vibes, the sunwashed visuals come courtesy of Polina Rabtseva, a fine art videographer whose output has included both work for big brands like Mercedes and Bacardi, as well as more esoteric explorations of erotica – from, importantly, Rabtesva’s female perspective. Filmed in Dune du Pilat (close to Bordeaux in France), and one of CLAAP!’s favorite places on earth, the video follows a bunch of real-life friends having an enviably good time; it’s the perfect accompaniment to the track’s ludicrously buoyant beat and unashamedly good vibes. First release of the new label Poetry In Motion Music comes by the hands of Werkshy, Sydney born but London based artist who has already had important releases on labels like Guesthouse and Midnight Riot.

The EP contains 2 original tracks plus a tremendous remix by Mexican producer 4004, with releases on top labels such as Fogbank or Quintessentials.

“Everyday” it’s a dancefloor killer and it has everything to be defined as the summer bomb: groovy rhodes, a powerful vocal and a deep message. Hands in the air because the sun is shining!

4004 remix has that deep house heat, with a dance inducing groove that will make you sweat while you are moving like Jamiroquai at the club.  

“Everybody” instead it’s an hypnotic-disco-house-dancefloor-filler, with its catchy melody, pumpin bass and jazzy trumpets!

Welcoming Folamour into the family, Classic is proud to present this 9-track LP from one of France’s most intriguing new artists. It’s business as usual for the fast-rising French producer, who is yet to put a foot wrong this year. Co-founder of Moonrise Hill Material and founder of FHUO Records (For Heaven Use Only), Folamour’s take on house music is exquisite, poetic and meticulously executed. 

On ‘Umami’ Folamour continues to explore his signature blissed-out sounds, mixing sample-heavy house with intricate percussion and life-affirming pads, all dripping with decadent jazz and disco influences; pure hazy lushness. Each track tells a unique story, engaging narrative threads that pulse and dwindle on hypnotic frequencies. High points include the energetic workout that is ‘Devoted To U’, Hip-Hop infused ‘Kickflippin’ That Stuff’ and the endearing warmth of ‘Look At Me Or I’ll Steal Your Eyes’. ‘Umami’ is a stunning work of art from a very thoughtful producer; prepare to be very impressed.
