After a successful debut album, here comes the third and final part of the series “Malditos BONUS TRAXXX!” which includes two tracks in two different dance music trends, showing the know-how of this French duo of electronic music lovers. This time it is included a remix done by BSD themselves of one of the tracks released in their album "Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!"

“Phantasmagoria” is pure energy, Dirty-Tech-Funk in capital letters. Imagine a mansion full of ghosts trapped in an infinite dance, unable to stop, unable to disappear behind the walls and all filmed from the stairs by your camera, while thinking: "Damn, my friends are not going to believe that!" Once again BSD demonstrate their versatility in musical production, their sound culture, and that they are not from this planet. Hum! Are they also ghosts from beyond? General Midi, or Paul Crossman, who also performed under the name Fluid, came out of the Bristol club scene, making a splash when he became resident DJ at the Shimmy Club in 1994. His mix of breakbeat with nu-skool, electronica, house, and hip-hop made him a popular act.

Emerging from the backrooms of the Bristol Club scene his slick DJ ability and an ear for a great tune gave him regular appearances at breaks hotspots across the planet such as Fabric, Chew The Fat, Blow Pop, Sounds On Sundays (Sydney), Two Tribes (Australia), Zouk (Singapore), Budapest, all across the USA, Hungary, Spain, Serbia, China and Hong Kong. Teaming up with production partner Eelz, General Midi has been responsible for some of the most genre defining tunes in ‘The Westoner’ (’99) ‘Daft Funk’ (’01) ‘Further’ (’03) & ‘You will Be Under’ (’03), ‘Entertainer’ (’04), ‘Bass Rockerz’ (’04) & ‘House of Funk’ (’05).

General Midi’s singles have been released on some of the most respected breaks labels of the time, including TCR (Rennie Pilgrems label) & Kilowatt (Hyper’s label). In 1999 he released his single “The Westerner,” followed two years later by “Daft Funk,” the same year that his first full-length release, Genetically Modified. All of this has led to his debut artist album ‘Midi Style’ which was released on Distinct’ive Records in 2005. In 2009 he released his follow up album ‘Operation Overdrive’.

Paul Crossman also worked with writing partner and audio engineer Al Watson in the duo act called “Starecase”.

Currently Paul Crossman works as as a Teacher of Computing at Lampton School, London UK.

After a successful debut album, the first release by the masked BSD in 2011 is coming...

"Malditos BONUS TRAXXX!" is the title of this piece divided into 3 EPs that collect some productions that were left off when developing the album "Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!" as well as some remixes of the songs included in the aforementioned Long Play.

In this “Part 1” you can enjoy 2 tracks. First, an Electro-House remix of acclaimed “Compute” by BSD themselves, still retaining the original freshness with a new dirty funk twist that makes it have that look so street. 100% recommended for those moments of apotheosis in the Big Rooms at the most critical moments in the morning. We are not responsible for the effect in humans.

The second is an unreleased track entitled “Paramnesia”. Following the Tech-Funk beat, it immerge us into the world of memories after hypnotizing us through its bass-line and its suggestive sequences. While the sounds invade us, our mind is creating scenes that we thought to live and yet we have not.

We got sent these two tracks at about the same time, hence the double a-side release. Darqwan is Oris Jay, who many credit to be one of the originators of the dubstep scene with his FWD night and his hybrid garage/dubstep. Infekto is also known as Rico Tubbs and has had many releases across many genres but his first releases were with Passenger and our first ever signing! Enjoy the light and the dark!!!

BSD (BASS-STAR-DOS) is a DJs / producers duo from France.

Their beginning in the world of music goes back to 1998, when they started producing Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop developing their first works, own and for other artists. The influence of Fluke, Renegade Soundwave, Lionrock, Anthony Rother, and Jackal & Hyde, among others, led them to experiment slowly with Elektro-Breaks and House.

In 2008, the BSD project was consolidated, and after playing several times on various radio shows, they signed for iBreaks Records label. At the same time they won the remix contest by Rennie Pilgrem and his label, Thursday Club Recordings.

Since their first release, Intoxikated Muzik EP, they were very well received by audiences, DJs and critics, and their singles achieved many Top 1 in the Breaks sales charts on major stores. Finally, their meteoric rise was recognized in the 2010 edition of the Breakspoll Awards, where BSD were awarded as “Best Breakthrough Producer”.

As they would need a greater control over their music, BSD established their own label in late 2010, Mental Machine Muzik, where they released a debut album entitled “Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!”

Having shaken the Breaks scene in just over a year, they decided in early 2011 to diversify their style and start producing House and Indie Dance, collaborating with other producers and vocalists.
