The first EP on Cyclic Numbers features two brand-new Minikin’s tracks, entitled Critical Suspect and Karnaugh.

Critical Suspect is a sonic journey that unfolds over time making the introduction of each music elements. Hypnotically weird melody, evolving analogue sequences arranged with dark and granulated pads immersed us into atmosphere of 80’s sci-fi movies. 

Karnaugh is another story more rough and Detroit inspired. Good crafted drums , cryptically programmed sequences and extensive sounds design tell us the story about boolean expressions through music. 

The Cyclic Numbers|01 is a release we can recommend to everyone who is into up to date and open-minded.

You can’t find here any kind of modern cliché of electronic dance music.I experimented in these tunes with techno/house beats, different swings, modular synthesis, classic sequencing techniques and vocal samples. I’m pretty happy with this EP. I spent about two month for create these music themes so it will be pleasure if you’ll also feel the vibes.

This EP is inspired by and dedicated to my lovely Katya.

This release is a story that happened in Perestroika years and in the 1990s. The sounds that were used to create the tracks were collected from derelict buildings in Moscow region. From the places where real life used to boil. In order to make it special, we used Soviet recorder 'Rostov 102' that gave an interesting noise ettect when the tracks were exported from tapes. Every track is a special moment of our lives. All sounds were fitted in 30 minutes, and we think it's a good time to immerse in your dreams and remember the best moments of your life. mininome - 30 min of life.

Этот релиз - целая история времен перестройки, история 90-х. Звуки, использованные в этих композициях, были собраны в заброшенных зданиях Москвы и Подмосковья, в местах, где когда-то кипела настоящая жизнь. Для придания особой окраски, был использован советский магнитофон Ростов 201, который дал интересный эффект шума при экспорте дорожек с плёнки. Каждый трек - отдельный пережитый нами момент. Весь материал мы уместили в 30 минут, и это отличное время для того, чтобы окунуться в свои мечты, вспомнить что-то, о чем-то поразмыслить.  mininome - 30 min of life.
