BASS WOMP self-produced
I created the artwork while dancing at my previous home.
I came up with this song while walking on the street when I used to live in Hatsudai, Shibuya.
Japan is said to be a country that loves branded goods, and we created this because we believe that anything that is self-assertive and controlled deserves to be evaluated as a brand. I think the same can be said for the BASS WOMP logo and dance steps.
I rhymed it with a folk song-like sound, an ethnic synth, and a distorted bass.
The recording was done by bringing equipment from my home to a rental studio in Hatsudai. Brand Dance is an album song, so it didn't see the light of day until the album was completed.
I created this song because I wanted it to be a song that would make a lot of noise.
When we were making this song, it was around the time when Travis Scott was getting a lot of airplay, and it was being played a lot on YouTube, but we wanted to do it in our own style, so that's the direction we're going. When I made it and saw it finished, I was like, Wow, it's great.
There wasn't any special production method, but I also played around with the synths.

アートワークは以前住んでいた自宅で踊りながらキメました。
この曲は以前渋谷の初台に住んでいた時に道歩きながら思いついた曲です。
日本はブランドもんが好きな国と言われるように、自己主張され統制を取れたものはブランドとして評価されるに値することから作りました。BASS音符のロゴやダンスのステップにしても同じことが言えると思います。
それをちょっと民謡ぽい響きとエスニカルなシンセと歪んだベースに刻むような感じでライムしました。
レコーディングは自宅から初台のレンタルスタジオに機材持ち込みで録音しました。ブランドダンスはアルバム曲なんでアルバム完成するまでは日の目を見ることはありませんでしたね。
この曲はやっぱり騒げる感じの曲がいいいなと持って作りました。
この曲作っていた時はトラビススコットとか結構オンエアされている時期でYOUTUBEでも頻繁に流れている時期であって、でも自分たちのスタイルでやろうと思ってそういうことが方向性ですかね。作って出来上がってみたらおーいいじゃんみたいな感じです。
特別な製作方法があったわけでもないですが、これもシンセをいじりこんでます。

The artwork is where the concept for this song, PARK, came to me.
I took a photo. Actually, there are various samples, but I can't publish them.
I created an atmosphere based on this.
The BEATS of this song is a carefully crafted original synth patch that creates a “swaying” sound.
expressed. I use DOGGBASS as the bass to get the groove going.
The lyrics were written while imagining them on-site, incorporating the feelings I felt in the so-called NEWYORK BRONX and HARLEM ghetto parks and Japanese slum parks.

アートワークは今回の曲のコンセプトPARKが浮かんだ場所で
撮影しました。実際色々サンプルはありましたが公開できないので
こちらをベースにして雰囲気をかもし出しました。
この曲のBEATSはイジリ作り込んだオリジナルシンセパッチで”揺れ”
を表現しました。ベースはDOGGBASSを使ってノリをかもしてます。
リリックはいわゆるNEWYORK BRONXやHARLEMのゲットーの公園や日本のスラムの公園で感じたフィーリングを織り交ぜ、現場でイメージして書き上げました。

It took a while.
Something happened when I was writing the lyrics...
I packed that into the lyrics as well.
There are many things that happen in life.
I wanted the artwork to be chic and have a phantom feel.

前作から数ヶ月アイデアはあったんだけどリズムがしっくりこなくて
時間がかかったしまったね。
リリックを書いていたいた時、ハプニングが起きたんだ、、
それもリリックの中に詰め込んだよ。
人生生きてりゃ色々あるよね。
アートワークはシックで幻のような感覚になるようなものにしたかったんだよ。

Sleepsleep - Hounting Remix

Born in Nagoya in February 1977, raised in Inazawa. I first encountered hip-hop when I saw the movie WildStyle and was impressed. When I was a teenager, I was immersed in dance, and in the early 2000s I spent my days making beats and writing lyrics. He spent the late 1990s in the United States, then returned to Japan, started a family, and played music in addition to work, but lost his wife and child in the Tohoku Earthquake. He overcame that, and although he doesn't have a glamorous career, he makes beats and raps in addition to his job to earn a living. I didn't have anyone in particular teach me about it, and I work on it by going back and forth between my studio and my home until it's completed.
In the 90's and early 2000's, he was a street type artist leaning towards NewScool and OldScool, but after moving his base of activities to Tokyo in the 2010s, Drill was once again influenced by the sounds of rhythm machines such as 808 and 909 that echoed throughout the big box. He is active rapping to beats mainly based on , Trap, and Bass music.

1977年2月名古屋市生まれ稲沢市育ち。ヒップホップとの出会いは、映画WildStyleを見て感銘を受けた。Teensの頃はDanceに没頭し2000年初期はBeat作りとLyricを書いて日々を過ごした。90年代後期はアメリカで過ごし、その後帰国し家庭を持ち仕事の傍、音楽をやっていたが東北震災に乗じて妻と子供を失った。それを乗り越え、華やかしい経歴は何一つないが食うための仕事の傍、Beat作りとRAPやっている。特別誰かに教えてもらった訳でも無く、制作に関して、完成までスタジオと自宅を行き来して制作している。
90年代、2000年代初期はNewScoolやOldScool寄りのストリート系だったが2010年代に入り活動拠点を東京に移してから、再度大箱中で響く808や909などのリズムマシンの音に影響を受けDrillやTrap、Bassミュージックを主幹にしたビートにラップし活動している。
