We are back with the 13th instalment of Speedy Sessions.  This one mixed by my good pal Jon Miley.  

This mix is full of non stop speed garage madness.  Many unheard tracks as Jon drops some original speed garage sounds.  This mix takes me back to the original speed garage days with those low rumbling basslines. Banger and banger including tracks from Brent Kilner, TS7, Porky Paul, Relik, Rico Tubbs and many more....

It's fair to say Jon knows his stuff when it comes to this genre. one not to be missed.

I loved recording this mix for many reasons.  First and foremost, I've always loved Ang's tracks, they epitomise the bassline house scene.  You'd hear Ang's tracks without fail every weekend in northern underground clubs.  There aren't many other producers with the same notoriety as Ang when it comes to producing a genre defining sound.  Secondly, I was always mesmerised by Ang's ability to produce a track, literally smashing out riffs on the piano in seconds.  I'd be sat in her studio in awe whilst she built a track from start to finish, seamlessly transitioning from organ and pianos to warping basslines.  She's an absolute musical powerhouse!

So turn it up loud and settle in for the journey through some of Ang's greatest tracks, from her very early stuff, to unreleased gems, right through to upfront productions.

After being medically discharged from the army after being seriously injured in Afghanistan Paul spent nearly 2 years in hospital and rehabilitation. 

During that time he was in a dark place mentally and music was a key part of his recovery, both mentally and physically. 

He decided to try DJng in January 2022 and since then he has strived to do his best in what he loves (music)

In early spring 2023 he was signed by JJAY to the KLR label and played at various events around the midlands. 

Paul has also recently begun his journey with producing, creating new skool remixes that are being played in clubs and bars up and down the country.

He now also has a weekly live show every Thursday over on his Mixcloud page. be sure to tune in, you won't be disappointed.

Introducing Danny Love, a newcomer to the DJ scene who started spinning the decks just two years ago. His journey into DJing began with a deep-seated love for speed garage and bassline music, and he decided it was finally time to give it a shot. From the very first moment, Danny fell in love with the art of mixing and hasn't looked back since.

Danny's style of music is all about that fast-paced energy, with a special love for speed garage and anything that packs a dirty bass punch. His sets are a testament to his passion for these genres and his dedication to keeping the scene alive.

Looking forward, Danny's future plans revolve around getting his music out there and making a name for himself in the industry. He's determined to keep the beats pumping and the bass thumping for all his fans.

As for his all-time favorite speed garage record, Danny holds a special place in his heart for the classic "Summer Junkies - Hey Y'all." It's a track that has stood the test of time and continues to inspire him in his musical journey.
