"The Jolisa EP marks a significant shift in Luca dell’Orso’s sound. Although the electric hooks and rolling rhythms that characterise the dutchman’s signature style are still present, new avenues are explored. One notable change is the addition of vocals, care of the EP’s namesake: Jolisa. The opening, “Sixteen”, smoulders with a palpable intensity. Steady beats and textured pads support synth stabs as impassioned vocals recant a tale of past lessons. “Reach Out”, on the flip, is a different animal. Big and daring, chords chug next slicing snares while lyrics brim with hope. Two instrumental works balance the four tracker. “Nighttime” is perfectly sculpted with a soulful melody and clean percussion, vocoder lyrics giving a sorrowful slant to track. A true epic closes: “Tomorrow’s Already Here.” Bold keys and racing rhythms collide in this 80s steeped extravaganza, electro-disco and car chases in this incredible end. Turn Up The Bass

After the success of Astroloop's Ep “Right Before” released on Nothing is Real imprint, Latido releases his new Ep "Let Their Minds Wander”, a two original tracks Ep with two amazing remixes from the bosses Niv Ast and Lauer.
The creation of this Ep was inspired by a dream of Gabriel Lori (aka Astroloop) after he was playing somewhere in the desert at the sunrise. The final result is an Ep which will moves your body and mind through a delicious cocktail of house, acid and psychodelia of XXI century.
The Ep ends with a version of "The Recondite Shapes of Your Dreams" by the invincible Lauer. In this remix the beats per minute of the original track are accelerated, to turn it into a delicious meandering as well optimistic piece with Balearic ingredients, an organic bass line, and a winner piano line.

Playlisted in February by Jennifer Cardini in her "Essential mix", the legendary BBC programme, "The Others", an unbridled discoid turbine, is released on "From disco to disko" in July in an EP that inaugurates the revival of the small Corsican label. Soulwax, Black Devil Disco Club, Felix Da Housecat, Valerj crystallises here the very essence of his influences in a long saturated ascent of 6 minutes and 38 seconds. On the "B" side, Damon Jee & Ravintsara for a dark remix with an enigmatic vocal opening new perspectives. In the realm of standardisation, of uniformity, "The Others" could be the EP to play this summer, your EP... or maybe someone else's?

RNT welcomes Brooklyn-based band 79.5 to the family with the first single from their forthcoming eponymous LP. Soulful and psychedelic, the haunting melodies of Club Level float above a steady strutting rhythm section, punctuated by moaning baritone saxophone and drenched in washy reverb.

NYC mainstay Eli Escobar crafts a masterful remix that leans into 80s nostalgia, with a soundscape and arrangement nothing short of perfection.

We’re delighted to welcome italian producer Alberto Melloni on Ulla Records ! With his EP “Scaleno”, he displays the wide array of his production game, going from new beat to italo and synthwave, through 3 original tracks, supported by two remixes from Tech Support and Plexi Glass.
The eponymous opening track, “Scaleno”, sounds like an ode to the new beat era, with its punching drum beat, wild sound effects and slamming stabs. Then comes “Blonde”, entwining synths and pads, layed over an heavy rhythm section, the soundtrack to your night spree through the city. Finally, we’re having an uplifting ending with
“False Piste”, an explosion of vibrant melodies, navigating somewhere between italo and synthwave.
We also wanted some ace remixers on board, so we asked London based Tech Support to put his magic hands on “Blonde”. He delivered an intense, heavy, club-ready remix, with its hypnotic groove and dreamy layers of synths.
Then we have newcomers Plexi Glass, hailing from Rennes, who decided to pace it up on “False Piste”, unleashing frantics drums and galloping basslines, making for a supercharged remix.

Hamertje Tik is the alter ego of Dutch drummer and producer Joris Feiertag. His ‘Dutch Bass’ is a mix of UK bass, UK garage, funk, and down-tempo electronic music. Hamertje Tiks catchy melodies, syncopated beats, and one-of-a-kind samples, create a refreshingly organic sound. You should see him playing a live set because it adds another dimension to his music. Check him during this years ADE at the Sugar Factory on Wednesday the 15th of October.
