Up until this month every release on Bass Hound has been 100% free. While we love doing this and will continute to put out one free release every month, after 7 EPs we're running a little dry in the cash department. On July 22nd, our first compilation "Bass Hound Treats Vol. 1" will be released on Beatport, Juno Download, iTunes and all other major online retailers. It features ten BRAND NEW tunes from Kanji Kinetic, Figure, Kid Smpl, Heapy, Z-Kat, Madmaid, and several other amazing members of the Bass Hound family. 90% of the proceeds from this release will go straight to the artists that have been bringing you free tunes since November on Bass Hound, and the other 10% will help recoup money from artwork, mastering, and promotion. This month we've got some major mutant vibes courtesy of some heavy producers. The EP is centered on a slamming original from 21 year old newcomer Yeahhbuzz from Dundalk, Ireland representing Coin Operated Records. This one is for the fucking rave. Crazy basslines twist and turn around sirens with reckless abandon, as if to open up their own personal murder bags. First up on remix duty is Philly's resident king of bass, Flufftronix. I don't really know how to describe this one other than holy fucking shit. This is a banger. Beware. Following Fluffy is RRRitalin, owner of Coin Operated Records, hailing from foggy London town. Another heavy stomper of a remix, expect this one to totally devastate every dancefloor, from the grimiest club to the most exclusive Ibiza sunrise beach party. It's dirty! Last but never the least is returning Bass Hound remixer Heapy, straight outta Wigan, the veritable pearl of the UK. His remix brings some huge percussion and provides a nice twist on the original, making it all the more bouncy. Yay!

The summer of 2017 was all about one thing for me: Twin Peaks: The Return. I’d never been that inspired by a piece of art in my entire life. This also coincided with my other new love affair – hardware synthesizers! In the months following, I worked on a set of songs inspired by The Return, using only hardware for all my synth sounds. In early 2019, I came back to these recordings and decided to touch up and release them as an EP. I like to think that the darkness, unease, and confused realities of Twin Peaks can be heard amongst the noise. This will likely be the last Double Oh No release for a long time. I hope you dig it!
