DJ firebrand Takaaki Itoh has come a long way since his early days of Detroit-influenced techno and parties in northern Japan. Without compromising anything in the way of quality his appeal has grown exponentially. Like a musical surgeon, his approach relies less on sweeping gestures and more on small millimetric cuts and tweaks that slowly ramp up the mood and leave the listener with sound that is at turns growling, mystical and amorphous. Bassiani Podcast 105 is a monolithic, trance-inducing opus from the land of the rising sun.

The long-running Techno project is the symbiotic collaboration of artists Paul Boex and Dave Miller, who having met through a serendipitous booking, are now a b2b force to be reckoned with. Charles McCloud Duff, aka Matrixxman, started his musical career as a hip hop producer for names like YG and TY$. But shortly after, he got bored of the routine and laid his eyes on electronic music. He started experimenting with facets of UK bass music before growing into one of the big names in the techno realm. Matrixxman is no stranger to us as he already played (and ate a sandwich) at our festival back in 2018 but now he’s back for The Crave Mix 008.

UK Based Techno producer best known by his work on the Belgium based Token Records and who's style ranges from gritty minimal techno to Detroit influenced material. His debut “Module Overload” was released on London’s Lost/Cosmic records in 2000, and was followed by a string of productions for London's Surface/Inceptive Records and Ben Sims Ingoma imprint. The move to Token came in 2007, he shortly after began DJing professionally and has since performed at parties across the globe. His continued works have seen constant support throughout the techno world and have featured in CD mixes by Robert Hood, François Kevorkian and Dave Clarke amongst others…

Alongside his production work Phase is also a Mastering engineer and on/off artwork designer. Starting out at London’s prestigious Sony Music/Whitfield Street Studios, he has cut records for numerous underground dance acts as well as working on projects for mainstream artists.
