Dry Wet Joins Darkelementsofc Guestmix Series #009
    Dry Wet is a duo of electronic music in Serres Greece comprised of George Hantas  and Nikos Vlagoidis .
     Their passion for electronic music began at a very young age as they had already, each separately, been mixing and playing music, while they were still amateurs at the age of 15, mostly progressive-house sounds.
Their paths crossed in Thessaloniki 2007 when George Hantas decided to move there in order to study Music Technology, while Nikos Vlagoidis was already there for studies after his graduation from Music school of Serres.They quickly realized that they shared the same views and ideas around music so, they decided to create the project Dry Wet and start as a duo.
   In 2009 they have begun to experiment in music production and they have been producing their own tracks ever since with releases on Monique Speciale, Addeepted, Black Nemesis, Syncopate, Hardwandler records and the Greek Shift Audio Digital.
Their sound is mostly based on dance kick drums and groovy basslines, mixed with techno elements.
They do gigs in several places in Greece while it is worth mention their appearance on Reworks festival where they opened the CU Stage.

After several appearances on Mind Games with remixes or single tracks, we are pleased to announce the debut EP by Linear System, a French artist who needs no introduction, who has released on labels such as Edit Select, Dynamic Reflection, Planet Rhythm and many others, including his own Modern Minimal. Retro Futuro it's a set of raw, fast paced and hypnotic tracks. Perfect dancefloor killers. Furthermore, label boss Luca Maniaci contributes to this release with a remix of the main track, with a still rhythmic version and a heavier bassline.

This next one’s a very special B2B set from two of techno’s freshest talents. German/Dutch pairing Phil Berg and Lobster have emerged from their respective habitats masters of their art. From raves in both their homelands to releases on SK-eleven, HAYES, Room Trax and positivesource, as well as a shared residency for Vault Sessions that’s brought them here for Bassiani Podcast 210, the duo posit a deep and driving compound of high-voltage rhythms in their day-to-day praxis. Slamming techno that has claimed a rightful space among the greatest names of their generation. Layer by layer, an instinctive formulation of heaving basslines and delicate hi-hats balanced with utmost precision. It’s a seamless communion of complementary worldviews in respect to sound, a rich tapestry of ever morphing loops. It’s focus on gradual build, a slowly evolving chimera in lieu of schmaltzy instant gratification. This latest edition clocks in at three hours, a redacted version of their 12 hour set for the Vault Sessions night at Bassiani back in early February. Immersive and rolling, monolith techno that’s sure to set a higher bar for those who follow.

Dynamic Ukrainian producer Yan Cook makes his debut on Soma Records with the Wide Angle EP. Active on the scene for some time now and releasing on a number of top flight labels, Yan delivers a devastating 4 track EP, chalked full of his distinctive sound. 

The ominous title Wide Angle kicks things off with thumping and tripped out low end and doesnt hold back, firing straight out of the block with rapid percussion and twisted synth elements. Krater keeps up the pace with a more rolling and hypnotic feel; crushing rhythmic elements has Yan on full attack mode with this track. Blacklisted keeps up the aggressive vibes with sinister tones, growling basslines and yet more jarring and propulsive rhythms. Closing out with Red Stream, Yan continues with the malevolent vibes as dark and forbidding tones permeate throughout this perfectly crafted tool.

Yan Cook is yet another welcome addition to the ever growing roster of high quality talent on Soma.

Bassiks is a dynamic techno DJ/Producer duo formed in 2017. Hailing from Greece, both members have had a lifelong passion for music, which led them to the vibrant hub of Amsterdam in recent years. Their sound is characterized by driving grooves, powerful basslines, and a raw, underground aesthetic. They strive to infuse their performances with this groovy signature, aiming to create a memorable musical experience at every venue they play.
