Like its predecessors, this compilation connects a dynamic and constantly shifting scene, bringing together a diverse lineup of artists from Marseille, Paris, and Brussels. Shaped by years of creative exchange, it blends Omakase’s longtime collaborators with fresh new voices, each bringing a distinct sonic identity. We’re honoured to share these visions through this V.A.

Driven by a spirit of eclecticism and genre fusion, Omakase Colors Vol.3 moves fluidly between ambient, trip-hop, electronic jazz, UK garage, jungle, IDM, footwork, bass music, and more. Some tracks draw from the meeting of acoustic and electronic worlds, weaving organic textures with cutting-edge production. It’s a blend of energies, where groove-driven club tracks sit alongside introspective compositions, balancing impact and emotion.

(FR) Quatre ans après la sortie remarquée de la compilation Omakase Colors Vol.1, l’équipe d’Omakase est fière de vous présenter le troisième volume de cette série musicale haute en couleur : une nouvelle plongée dans la richesse des musiques électroniques actuelles, fidèle à l’ADN du label.

Porté une fois de plus par un esprit d’éclectisme et de fusion des genres, ce nouveau volume se joue des frontières stylistiques, oscillant entre ambient, trip-hop, jazz, UK garage, jungle, IDM, footwork, bass music, dub et breakbeat. Un savant mélange d’énergies où groove organique et sound design affûté cohabitent, entre morceaux taillés pour le dancefloor et compositions plus introspectives. Cette sélection musicale faite main capte l’effervescence d’une scène électronique en perpétuelle réinvention, animée par une volonté d’expérimentation, d’hybridation et de liberté créative totale.

Dans la lignée des précédents volets, Omakase Colors Vol.3 tisse des liens au sein même d’une scène émergente en constante mutation, réunissant une palette d’artistes basés entre Marseille, Paris et Bruxelles. DADDY ME LOVE YA • This is a very emotional track by Jungle/ D&B legend MC Navigator (former presenter of BBC 1’s legendary “One in the Jungle” show back in the early days. Global hits such as ‘Ruffneck’ & ‘Warning’ with Freestylers) singing about his deceased father, also underlining his ablilties as a singer. Combining this with The Green Man's own way of making emotional music, he helps Jungle to show another beautiful color (after Digital & him came up with Junglist Soldier on Function UK in 2020). The track may be comforting for fans who have also lost their father or a loved one in very difficult times (such as winter 2020). We thought it might fit in now.

Humanity - A Short Film by Students at The London Film School

Record label and artist project from Cologne/ Germany, focussed on Drum & Bass and electronic music, derived from Junglegrowers Crew, run by Heiner Kruse a.k.a The Green Man (TGM) since 1997.

It started as an artist collective with Basztart, Cheetah, Kingz & The Green Man.
Later on, label was run by Cheetah and The Green Man before Cheetah focussed on painting and moved to Hungary in 2007. We released music from musicians all over hte world, including around 40 vinyl singles and 8 albums/compilations.

Now were going back to the roots and an album from The Green Man & Kingz is coming. Additionally Jumpat and Decon are our resident DJs. Also most future releases will be accompanied by coops with one of us.

We started off as an artist collective in 1997. Then we released music from artists all over the world. Now we want to go back to the roots again: We are working on collaborations with artists all over the world! These will be released as a compilation in 2018 - plus additional digital EP‘s and remixes. The Green Man & Kingz as original members are still there and work on a new album as well! The concept is sponsored by the cultural department of the City of Cologne as well (Kulturamt Köln)



Artists participating so far (amongst others, to be confirmed, alphabetically): Aqua Sky, Brian Brainstorm, Digital, DJ Freeze,  Gourski, Klute, Navigator, Thorsten Q (Tangerine Dream), Ultima C, Seibel...and also some Cologne electronic legends!
