All eyes is a first cooperation between The Green Man and singer Dany. The song is about desire for freedom in an emotional way - regarding both, text and music - and its embedded into atmospheric soundscapes with microtonal leads, mumbling basses and driving Drum & Bass beats. Its merging multiple cultural influences.

22year old Dany is singing since he has been 4 years old and sometimes sounds like Michael Jackson, who is one of his idols. His dad is hailing from Zimbabwe, his mother being german. His musical spectrum is wide open, ranging from ballads to D&B, sometimes english, sometimes german. His songs on Spotify like „Love so schwer“ get hundreds of thousands listeners and with his deep soul voices he touches many peoples musical hearts. On instagram, one can find him under farayi.vibes, Farayi being another project of him.

Summer 2020 saw the release of „Junglist Soldier“ with Digital on Function Rec  Uk and more coops with Navigator and MC Fava. „All Eyes“ is another take on vocal D&B with an excellent singer by The Green Man, who is always in search of good vocalists and  also worked with Peter Bouncer and Demolition Man to combine vibeful voices with some emotional electronic music. Currently Heiner Kruse (his real name) is also working on Ambient music and experimental sounds with modular systems supported by german Musikfonds/ Berlin with the „Neustart Kultur“ program.

Brian Brainstorm is one of germany's most successful Jungle exports and is also part of the basswerk crew.  This EP is a bit different compared to his other releases on Liondub, Jungle Cakes, Run Tingz and Original Key. He takes the jungle vibes to a more jazzy vibe (with "Ease Up") or athmospheric level ("Memba"), showing his musical skills, while still delivering his quality beats and energy. This is a very special one.

As usual TGM (The Green Man) delivers an add on for this Basswerk release - it’s a breakbeat experiment as part of his "Lower Breakbeats" concept, which is supported by Musikfonds e.V/ Neustart Kultur. While the full version goes all the way from LoFi Hip Hop to Jungle/Drum & Bass…the short version just keeps it slow.

„Deep in my heart“ is the first single from The Green Man (TGM)’s „25 Years Basswerk Sessions“ album. „Deep in my heart“ is a modern electronic pop drum & bass track by Jaycut & TGM and the warm voice of Vavu, a german singer from the Rhineland with tamil roots, with whom TGM has already cooperated on „Say Goodbye“ for. Beatalistics. Together with her partner Christopher Gros they form the „Vavunettha“ duo project.

Jaycut and TGM met and cooperated when Basswerk sessions went to Gebäude 9 in 1999 and he founded drumandbass.de, on which they had their first netradio sessions form Basswerk’s underground studio. Later on, Jaycut went on his own paths. Together with Kolt Siewerts he founded „Play“ events series and label in Cologne, plus they also had a hit with the unconventional „Flute tune“. They also teamed for their ongoing and regular drumandbass.de Podcast. Focussing on his own electronic sound, here in „Deep in my heart“ Jaycut unites with TGM again - and with a fresh new voice.

On his„25 Years Basswerk Sessions“ album TGM is showcasing a broad variety of music centered around D&B and Jungle including some surprises and cooperates with the following artists ...

Mad Vibes is Tony Calhoun, who is contributing to the german scene since the late 90s and also runs M3 Mastering. His recent releases/dubs on Digital's Function UK, Ghetto Dub, Backlash and Original Keys have received a lot of airplay and also support from DJ's like Storm.

The EP features a very fresh and recent "Pigs" The Green Man (TGM) rmx as well as contributions by Tony's longtime pal Dubwilder, who added some dubby vibes to the original "Pigs" track.

Vol.3 of the Music Masters series features three very musical and yet very driving, electronic sounding and dancefloor compatible tracks. Chris Wreckage Machinery from Vienna teams up with Mealor for "Needless to say" and delivers his own "Roulette" - excellent follow ups to his stunning "Colours" debut on The Green Man's Basswerk label. While "Needless to say" starts lush and then gets really busy, "Roulette" touches the harder edge even a little bit more while still having its very musical parts. In between those two tracks we are happy to have a nice hello from Berlin's Sebastian "N.phect" Wild, Dizplay's brother and one half of the famous "Beautiful Bytes" album on Basswerk from N.phect & Dizplay. While his brother delivered and album earlier this year, N.phect had releases on Subtitles and can be found on various labels. "Vis a Void" is one of his more musical pieces with a wide range of athmospheric electronic sounds.

Record label and artist project from Cologne/ Germany, focussed on Drum & Bass and electronic music, derived from Junglegrowers Crew, run by Heiner Kruse a.k.a The Green Man (TGM) since 1997.

It started as an artist collective with Basztart, Cheetah, Kingz & The Green Man.
Later on, label was run by Cheetah and The Green Man before Cheetah focussed on painting and moved to Hungary in 2007. We released music from musicians all over hte world, including around 40 vinyl singles and 8 albums/compilations.

Now were going back to the roots and an album from The Green Man & Kingz is coming. Additionally Jumpat and Decon are our resident DJs. Also most future releases will be accompanied by coops with one of us.

We started off as an artist collective in 1997. Then we released music from artists all over the world. Now we want to go back to the roots again: We are working on collaborations with artists all over the world! These will be released as a compilation in 2018 - plus additional digital EP‘s and remixes. The Green Man & Kingz as original members are still there and work on a new album as well! The concept is sponsored by the cultural department of the City of Cologne as well (Kulturamt Köln)
