So I just sat there on the grass
and tried to listen to you breathe

But there were sirens
And there were trains rollin by
And you tossed and turned inside your bed like you were havin the nightmare of your life
and i tried to wake you
throwing rocks at your window

And then your house would say
sorry dude she aint awake
and you aint the first white night tonight to try to ease her pain
and id then id say okay
and probably walk away
Id think of all the things i shouldve said while i walked down montauk highway
