LNDFK (pronounced L.N.D.F.K.)  is the moniker by Linda Feki, producer and songwriter, born in Tunisia and grow up in Naples. After the release of her first singles, supported by radios (BBC, NTS, Wordwide FM), she’s gearing up to drop her very first LP, that will be released on fall 2021 by NYC based label Bastard Jazz.

“Don’t Know I’m Dead Or Not” (feat rapper Chester Watson) is the first single out from the album. The track – co-produced (as with the whole album) with Dario Bass  is deeply symbolic : it’s connected to the depersonalization phenomenon, a dissociative desorder in which the subject feels an alteration of the perception of oneself and the surrounding environment. The track sees  of Miami-based rapper Chester Watson, member of Nu Age Syndicate, who is considered one of the brightest new stars in the alternative hip-hop scene. His flow amplify the dark shadows of the track, intertwined with LNDFK’s sensitive voice.
"Don't Know I'm Dead or Not" unfolds in three moments: in the first the flow is restless, slurred, a stream of consciousness that flows on a rugged beat. A disorganized layer of voices spill over into the second part, where the scenario is completely new, suspended, detached, with the impression of being underwater. In the last part the beat is limping, the sound frantic, with a series of glitches that enhance the feeling of absence of familiarity, as if to inspire an alien perception of oneself. The song ends in a very sudden way.

“Don’t Know I’m Dead Or Not” is the first step for LNDFK into a very deep research to reach a more mature and authentic identity by herself, harsh and fragile at the same time. It’s the first piece from the puzzle of her debut album, in which a whole series of eternally dialoguing opposites weave the plot of the entire work.

East London rapper, illustrator and designer Kieron Boothe represents a new wave of UK artists whose music is as much rooted in jazz and soul as in new styles. Last year, Kieron turned some heads as a member of The Silhouettes Project (alongside Enny, Lex Amor, KeepVibesNear, Manik MC, Kofi Stone and many more). His single ‘No Peace’ made it into various high-profile playlists and cracked the 1 million streams mark.

Kieron now returns with new single ‘Crush a Bit’, to be released Nov 19th via Melting Pot Music. Here, the East Londoner is spinning lyrical webs over a jazz-infused beat with salient Sax riffs and a catchy head-bopping hook at the core.

As part of the upcoming EP ‘The Stoned Age II’ – releasing on Dec 3rd – the single is touching on a prominent motif in hip-hop. “I think what makes this project special is that it’s more than just stoner rap, it’s me documenting where I am at in my life currently and I just so happen to smoke weed a lot during the process haha,” Kieron explains. 

The artwork around ‘TSA II’ has been created by the rapper himself. Graduating in Graphic Design from University of the Arts London has granted Kieron the skills to visually compliment his music as well as produce artistic contents for other artists both underground and commercial alike. “I never saw myself getting a ‘proper job’ and studied courses that I believed would enhance my career such as ‘media production’ and ‘graphic design’. Over the years I did begin to doubt whether I made the right decision in putting all my eggs in the creative basket, but the last two years have proved me wrong.”

Raised in Newham, East London, with family ties in Jamaica (his grandfather is a cousin of reggae legend Ken Boothe), Kieron Boothe started rapping at the young age of 11, first emerged on the scene in 2012 and has dropped a total of five projects since. Lately, with the hit single ‘No Peace’ (1.3 Mio streams to date), Kieron has contributed to the first volume of The Silhouettes Project (2020) alongside artists like Enny, Kofi Stone, Summers Sons and KeepVibesNear, the latter of whom he accompanied on his 2021 single ‘M25’. He is also part of the London based collective The Suave Society.
