Start of a new series of official reworks of The Warmer Music catalogue, a very special collaboration of Too Slow To Disco with the major label, that we worked on for a long time.
We are more than thrilled to start our Warner Music collaboration with official DoctorSoul reworks for one of the most prolific musicians of the Californian Westcoast/Jazz/AOR/Yacht scene, the one and only:

MICHAEL FRANKS, who personally approved the new versions.
Over the languorous course of 33 years and 16 albums, Michael Franks has mesmerized an international legion of fans with his one-of-a-kind artistry. Seamlessly weaving lyrics of stunning sensuality, wit, reflection and literary eloquence over music that tastefully utilizes top shelf shadings of jazz, soul, pop, chamber and music from around the globe. His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . His music lives on and is loved by so many modern Balearic/Soft Disco musicians/producers from today.

Parisian producer DOCTORSOUL is a longtime TSTD collaborateur. These reworks for Michael Franks have been floating around the internet for some time, we are so proud to finally give them an official release!
The D.J. / Remix & Music producer / Sound Designer has collaborated with many artists and bands from diverse genres even in Jazz, bringing production remixes for the likes of legendary Tania Maria, Jeff Cascaro, Mandoo & Interview to name just a few!

Captain Planet returns with "Tony's House," a high-energy dancefloor tribute to Afrobeat legend Tony Allen. Inspired by Allen’s groundbreaking rhythms for Fela Kuti & Africa 70, the track blends elements of his classic "Afro Disco Beat" with bass-heavy house. Captain Planet calls Allen a dream collaborator and credits Afrobeat with opening his mind to music. This first single teases the upcoming 6th full-length album with global club energy.

Moods and Nic Hanson have reconnected to deliver an electrifying synth-funk odyssey with their latest single, ‘Music Never Looked So Good’. Following their previous collaboration on Moods’ 2021 single “Sinner”, the pair once again demonstrate a remarkable chemistry, effortlessly fusing bubbly synth bleeps, deep underwater chords and a hypnotic bounce into a track that is both expansive and driving. Moods continues to push the boundaries of funk, soul and R&B-infused electronica. Since his debut album, the producer has carved out a distinct sonic identity by balancing tight, rhythmic precision with expansive, genre-blurring soundscapes. We are more than pleased to have unique producer Moods and Kraak & Smaak’s “Boogie Angst” crew on board again, after The Sunset Manifesto Volume 1, where Moods delivered a wickedly original Vulfpeck cover.

MONSIEUR VAN PRATT: 
founder of Super Spicy Records, is a prominent producer and DJ originally from Mexico City, whose influence on electronic music is widely recognized both nationally and internationally. With an impressive career that includes more than 100 releases in digital format and 26 on vinyl, which consolidate him as a key figure in the genre. 

His music has been released by prestigious record labels such as Toy Tonics, The Disco Express, Tropical Disco Records and Buddha Bar, among others, underlining his status on the global scene. His ability to fuse genres, attention and styles has captured that of critics and the public, leading him to collaborate and remix a series of renowned international and national artists. Recently he raised some eyballs with his dub remix for Poolside on The Sunset Manifesto Vol 2.

Among his most notable collaborations are works with Derrick McKenzie, drummer of Jamiroquai; Drop Out Orchestra, Art Of Tones, amongst others. Each of these collaborations has allowed him to explore new musi-cal dimensions, enriching his characteristic sound with diverse and fresh influences.

With a musical style deeply rooted in disco, funk and jazz, Monsieur Van Pratt combines classical elements with contemporary touches, creating a sound experience that is both nostalgic and innovative. His work not only stands out for its technical quality, but also for its ability to connect emotionally with the listener, making him a central figure in the evolution of modern dance sound.

A year after their groundbreaking sophomore album Nick & Astro’s Guide to the Galaxy LP, Potatohead People are back with a collection of instrumentals, remixes and B-sides. They’ve tapped some of their favourite producers from around the globe for remix duties, and spiced things up a bit by holding a remix contest from which one winner was picked from an overwhelming number of submissions - needless to say it was not an easy decision!

Opening up the release is a brand new original from Potatohead People - “Iced Tea,” which features vocals and a guest verse from Vancouver’s giorgi and Radina Vee - a perfect smooth jam to ease into Summer. Up & coming Australian producer TEYMORI (aka Amin Payne) puts a mid-tempo house flip to “No Sleep Til MTL,” but kept all the soul. Next up, the boys give us a taste of an early demo take of “Liftin’ Up” that features an extended instrumental outro, giving a completely different vibe from the album cut. From 100+ entries, Nick and Astro chose Russian producer Infinite Blaq’s remix of “Quest For Love,” which sped things up a bit and added a funky, meandering synth bass line, horns, and sax to the catchy vocal line. Following this, Kerem Akdag brings a classic West London broken beat touch to “Do My Thing.” The Istanbul-based producer has a self-titled out on the UK label Dimensions and has received praise from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade and Detroit Swindle. DJ Spinna’s groovy Galactic Funk Remix of “Morning Sun” joins the remix collection after the success of the 7” released in February, while Oakland’s 10.4 ROG brings a dreamy wonkiness to “All Alone.” Closing out the remixes is Brooklyn’s Sam O.B. (fka Obey City) - known for heading up the AstroNautico label - with a disco-tinged take on “Quest For Love” featuring additional vocals from the man himself that’s itching to heat up the dance-floor. Sandwiched between all the remixes are the instrumental tracks for “Do My Thing,” “Morning Sun,” “All Alone,” and “Change of Heart.” Finishing up the record is another new Potatohead original, “Nightcap,” which does exactly as advertised, bringing end-of-the-night, smokey jazz club vibes to accompany your drink of choice.
