Bin Stompin' round Ottawa since 2014. Recorded our first EP in '15 and toured to Vancouver, stayed and played around for 8 months give er take and toured on back in '16. We've bin playing in bars and venues in Ottawa ever since and are now in the midst of writing and recording our first full length album which will be followed by another tour.
Originally formed by Dan Rae (guitar/vocals/percussion) and Asjia Madore Papineau (violin) Bastards and the Buzzards quickly grew into a six piece band with Hunter Breen on drums, Allen Hull on Upright Bass, Kelsey Castelli on Mandolin and Matt Benoit on Banjo.  But six members would ultimately prove too hard to manage with everyone in the band also playing in their own side projects while also making sure we stay alive.
The Band was soon whittled down to just the original two founding members Dan Rae and Asjia Madore Papineau. We'd go on to record our first EP with Peter Klaassen filling in on bass.  Then we sold everything we owned, packed up our dog and whatever we had left and hit the road. We made our way through every back road we could find and played in every shitty tavern and motel that would let us. We landed in Vancouver, and played in the city as much as we could and then toured back in the spring. Since then we've added Clint Towns on Upright Bass and We've bin playing everywhere we can ever since.
