My friends say i've got a good voice & i am nice at storytelling, creating different atmospheres & images in their minds. I seldom do that, maybe i am too lazy? The truth is i am not the talkative type of guy. Its difficult to start a chat & keep it going & i often appear to seem bored. But that doesn't matter - we don't have to talk at all. We can sit together, listen to the music & sometimes we share a knowing smile. This is what music does - bringing people in their very own worlds together, creating another world where we can reach each other... i don't know what i would be without music; it's my key to other people & a way to handle my emotions.

Some of my 90ies dance 'all-time-favorites' are used in here. Strangely i bought all this stuff back then on cds instead buying it on vinyl, so i never did a mix with these styles. I started digging discogs for the vinyl issues a few years ago, so i could rebuild my collection slowly.
Also there are a few labels like Zyx, Maschina Records or Dance on the Beat Records, releasing reissues of exact this decade.

I know, a bit unusual you may think because you never heard me playing stuff like this. But believe me, i've been there & i am also one of those people, that play this music loud in the car & sing along... it was such a fun time, love it.

RE:Techno 3 (BLT's Fall in Love with Techno' Mix)

The original 90-min. mixtape is from 2001 & i gave it to a dj-contest at that time in the city. the jury voted it on 3rd position - not bad for a first try, i thought, & after that i got more requests in town from some of the jury's members, doing their own events... i don't know if it was a door-opener but that was the kind of tribal, i didn't hear from other local djs (although they all told me it's cool & great stuff)... the series expanded to 4 mixes in total.

2004 i re-recorded the set, since i wasn't able to digitalize the tape (too much bass) & i switched my recording gear from tape do disc in 2003. Enjoy the listen & let me know how you like it in the comment section. Thx for your time.

The Monster - Eyesore (BLT 2018 He needs Help Mix)

My first attempt on this mix was recording it in one go - making it a bit longer than the usual 80 minutes that fit on a cd so i recorded it digitally on my laptop. But in the end this led to quality loss & some kind of 'skipping' where in real there was no. Therefore i divided the set around the half & recorded two mixes as a double-disc for my collection. The 2nd half is already waiting in line - have fun with this one & feel free to drop your comments. Always curious about your thoughts & emotions. Have a great weekend.

Acid runs through my veins (BLT's 'Supertoxic' Mix) * BLT Label Series *

Since earliest childhood i was into music & the turntable & vinyl of my parents. My father initiated my addiction to vinyl finally by starting to let me select a record at the age of 6 years. Since then i bought music on vinyl. When i started visiting clubs with 15 & was experiencing the gay scene, i often brought some of my house records to an event & asked the, dj if he knows these or could play them - they did & after a few times they handed me the headphone & said "do it yourself, you're welcome" (ultimate thanks to 'Ralf Auge', Toby Geier & Ludger Werb at this point - you lit the spark in the clubs or let me 'practice' at your homes). Thinking about these first steps into djing makes me smile with a bit of melancholy... this is an experience that is hard to imagine these days.

With my first own earned money at age 16 or 17 i finally bought 2 turntables, a mixer, a headphone & started to mix at home with the records i bought until then. I began giving my mixtapes to other djs, that did own parties in town & i got often the possibility to play. In 2006 i took a break from djing for 6 or 7 years. Vinyl production dropped, many labels switched to digital format - something i never was interested in, not even in cds. In 2013 i recognized, that vinyl was ready for a big return to the market.

My vinyl library expands meanwhile a 7000+ records & is still rising. If you hear anything here that you like, let me know.
