Felix Mendelssohn passed on a bark through  dense fog the lagoon of Venice - while Bastian Lee Jones  waited for him in a palazzo  at his concert grand, playing his composition, taken out of his song cycle LIEDER OHNE WORTE, called  VENITIAN BARK SONG. The sound of his Kawai grand seemed to show magically Mendelssohn's gondoliere the way through the canals. The maestro entered the palazzo with a bright smile and said: record this song - you exactly got what I tried to express  with it.  A sudden  noise woke me up! What a dream !

The celebrated Livingroom Concerts of Bastian Lee Jones cling to an old European tradition of salon concerts in Vienna, Paris, Berlin and London, where people come together to spend an afternoon or evening, discussing, eating, having lunch and listen to popular classical music and their composers. Franz Liszt met for example Frédéric Chopin in a Parisian salon.

Bastian Lee Jones invites regularly into his apartment, where up to 30 people can take place in his especially designed concert room where his Steinweg concert grand (given him by an old German noble family - where a master student of Franz Liszt regularly played on).

Bastian Lee Jones performs his songs for hearts and feet in English, German and Indonesian, sometimes French. But also classical Arias or classical piano pieces by Chopin, Satie, Schubert or Schumann or jazzstandards and covers by Elton John, Hoagy Carmichael, Neil Sedaka, David Bowie and others.

These live recordings are taken out of two different concerts. Those concerts are regularly videoed and recorded.

The celebrated Livingroom Concerts of Bastian Lee Jones cling to an old European tradition of salon concerts in Vienna, Paris, Berlin and London, where people come together to spend an afternoon or evening, discussing, eating, having lunch and listen to popular classical music and their composers. Franz Liszt met for example Frédéric Chopin in a Parisian salon.

Bastian Lee Jones invites regularly into his apartment, where up to 30 people can take place in his especially designed concert room where his Steinweg concert grand (given him by an old German noble family - where a master student of Franz Liszt regularly played on).

Bastian Lee Jones performs his songs for hearts and feet in English, German and Indonesian, sometimes French. But also classical Arias or classical piano pieces by Chopin, Satie, Schubert or Schumann or jazzstandards and covers by Elton John, Hoagy Carmichael, Neil Sedaka, David Bowie and others.

These live recordings are taken out of two different concerts. Those concerts are regularly videoed and recorded.

The most successful piano piece "Pour Adéline" - was a major hit by #RichardClayderman who became the most successful piano player ever (in regard of commerce) - is still moving many people. Bastian Lee Jones produced this classic - and made his own passionate version of it.
Composed by Paul de Senneville & Olivier Toussaint - this piece is timelessly moving and belongs still being part of many playlists.

Bastian Lee  Jones  wrote  and  recorded  this  tune  on the 10th of April 2015, inspired  by  Georg Friedrich Händel´s aria  of his opera Serse (Xerxes), "Ombra mai fu", which BLJ  called  Ludovico Einaudi,
THE  contemporary  composer  with  maybe  the  biggest  audience in his  genre, who  mixes  minimalistic motives, repetitions on pop harmonies  into  post classical  structures - a  composer  who dared  to compose a C major  chord  in times, where academic composer  tried  to avoid  and detested harmonic  conventional harmonies !
