I feel often as if we live in an environment in which the idea of doing right socially is more important than its ever been. It's never been of more social importance to have the right personal values when it comes to matters of gender, race, sexual orientation, the environment and other matters of social justice.
Theres an enormous social pressure, particularly on Gen Z and Millenials to think, say and do the right thing. And yet it's never been more the case that the individual can do exactly fuck all as an individual about these things. We're completely powerless to impact any of these important issues with anything more meaningful than Facebook posts and Instagram stories that "raise awareness".
Whether the people who constantly post in stylish clothing and preach about these things on social media actually care is hard to say, but there are many of us who actually care deeply about the plight of many vulnerable people in society, and who see kids being kept in cages, and parliaments being shut down to subvert the will of the will of the people, and get genuinely scared and sad about the non-existant impact that you can make to affect these things. Instead, we distract ourselves with dumb shit and try not to think about it.
Anyway, this song is about, y'know, those things I just said. It's called "Lose My Mind" and it ironically makes about as little difference as any of those Facebook or Instagram posts I just talked about. But maybe it makes you think.
So, y'know, enjoy.

'Fuck Varg' is Varg2™—the artist formerly known as Varg—at his most chaotic and ornate. Streamlining a plethora of techniques and motifs into his inimitable and fearless style, there's reckless charm and misanthropy turbulently sequenced to perfection.

The EP comes with baggage. The German metal band Varg issued a cease and desist letter earlier in the year to the artist now known as Varg2™. It is an obvious enough move for a band that cites pagans as an influence and theme, but it is a move that nevertheless affirmed a preference for ceasing to exist. 

Charting a route through the cybergothic psychedelia of the opening track, to the wistful anthemic charge of 'Thirst (Dressed in Nothing But UV Paint and Biodegradable Glitter)', and finally landing on the peak dead-eyed sermon of 'Parasites (Honest Music for Dishonest People) ft. G19',  the digital EP's presentation rounds off on a lean and severe remix from VTSS.

It's an EP of restlessness, ruins, and ecstatic keyboard mashing because there's not an emoji that's demonic enough.
