My goal with “No Love” was to take elements of 90’s Hip Hop and R&B and place them within the context of my “Future Ghetto” style. I chose to sample TLC because “No Scrubs” is a true staple of 90’s R&B culture, and I wanted to see how vocal elements from the classic could convey a different vibe when paired with deeper instrumentation. I think the marriage between UK House style basses, trap percussion and TLC’s vocals offers an incredibly unique, novel and emotional take on R&B -  I hope my fans dig this one!

This song was originally sung by Michal David in 1982. 
He was the symbol of the 1980s pop music of communist Czechoslovakia, often compliant with the official ideological agenda. 
As many Czechoslovak pop songs of that era, this was a remake of a foreign pop song: Stella Stai by Umberto Tozzi. 
Czech lyrics were written by Michael Prostějovský who emigrated to West Germany the following year. 
Since the message of the intergalactic traveler was ignored the first time, it had to be told again.

2021 energy - Šum #15 stream

Jinak to nejde is a re-imagination of Czech 80s song by Hana Zagorová which we pushed way up in terms of energy and contemporary message. Hosting Prague Drag queen Miss Petty replaces the normalisation diva and breaks all the rules of conformity that the original song promoted. The deconstruction and further contemplation by hyperpop vocalist - litterbin - encourages listeners to envision better inclusive futures.
