I wrote this song a couple years ago, inspired by a road trip back home for Thanksgiving. My goal was to create a piece of music that conveyed the feeling of driving across the country: passing under the lights that illuminate the highway, getting glances of life as you pass through small towns, the bittersweet feeling of going home and realizing how much you've changed...

This is my remix of the song "1,000,000" originally written and produced by Nine Inch Nails.

This is a track I did for a Wolfmother remix competition. 

New Moon Rising (Gotta Hit The Highway)

I wrote this song for a project my brother is working on, and as a personal challenge to myself I recorded 95% of this track with one Shure 57 microphone - recording a left and right channel for each instrument.
I wrote and recorded this track over the span of two, four hour studio sessions so it's still a bit rough around the edges but I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of this one. Anyway, there are a lot of bright colors in this one.

By Summer's End

During an Ice age, sea levels fall, causing a regression along the shore line. By definition,  a regression is a return to an earlier stage of life or a supposed previous life as a means of escaping - I tried to illustrate this transition through out the song by building the intensity of the distortion, tempo, and an almost dissonant chord progression, which leads to a finale that I hope will catch you off guard...

I finally pushed my computer to the limit with a song – so many layers in this one. I tried to contrast the closeness of the string instruments, with big, orchestrative sounds. Weaving the synths through the plucked instruments was challenging but I wanted to maintain the original texture of the song, so I did my best to make it work. Since I have felt the gamut of emotion the past couple weeks, the song is somewhat fractured in some places, but perhaps that’s just what this song needed.
