Was playing around with a few chords and my wife Lorna wrote these words for the song, as i was up practising at 5:30 in the morning. Smoke alarm reference in the song - used to cook slimming world food and set the alarm off at 5:45 in the morning.

Wrote this winter 2014. The cold and wet weather was depressing me, so this song is about why I like summer.

Summer

First song i wrote on my first acoustic guitar. Quite simply put, it is a collection of experiences with my youngest son Ralph. The best bit being when he tells me, his daddy, i love you. This is all the more special for me as my eldest son suffers from epilepsy and doesn't talk. This makes Ralph telling me his feelings all the more special.

Daddy I Love You

First song i ever wrote. A song about two 4 year old boys playing out in summer, and keep coming in the house pestering mum and dad for food and drink, which generally was milk and custard creams, hence the track name.

What i felt one day after a storm, such as the crispness of the air, the calm, how every blade of grass looks entirely new.

The Storm Has Gone

Wrote this during summer when my boy was playing with a girl called lea in our garden. Lea was sat in a chair with a red rose in her hair, which was my chorus straight away. The rest is just a few experiences we had when Lea was round at various times. Hope you like. Cheer, Simon.

I've titled this as a preview as i've not finnished writing this song yet put wanted to put out what I have so far. Bit of a different picking style for me. It is about my eldest son George who has epilepsy, and that memories of this we have experienced with him will never grow old, like it happened yesterday. Thanks for listening, Simon.
