The beginning of the year for Logia Records (@logiarecords) is undoubtedly marked by the landing of the multifaceted Argentine artist Panko (@pankoba), co-founder of U'reguay Records, an Argentine-Uruguay based label that has burst onto the electronic scene in a forceful way.

“Electra” is an EP with hard sounds, with a strong Dark-Disco presence, with voices transformed like the sky during an electrical storm.

This release features a remix by Guyd, a French artist who gives his unmistakable European touch, an Acid Menace Remix by the great Mexican producer, a friend of the house, Ludviq, and closes with a remix by our Cu Da Curuxa.

Since 2019, the "From disco to disko" label based in Bastia, Corsica, has been offering its own vision of "dance music" without borders of styles or formats. This new release « EV004 », a UFO for the dance floor halfway between an edit and a remix, marks the arrival on the label of the duo Acid Child, based in Manchester in a very free adaptation of this track from 1981 by the group Foreigner.

PREMIERE - Freudenthal - Deceived Into Consent [Dogs & Vultures Records]

The La Dame Noir label has been away for almost a year now as the team have been busy opening a 2nd venue in their native Marseille, with a packed schedule of DJs lined up for the months ahead. They return in some style though with a reléase from this dynamic duo! Moderna Y Theus Mago made waves last year with a standout release on French electro star Chloé’s Lumiere Noire label. The outfit is made up of American Ghostly artist Moderna, who’s background in a noise band developed stylistically into a distinct sound influenced by techno and acid and Mateo González aka Theus Mago, artist on Kill The DJ and Duro label co-founder and someone with a unique approach to leftfield techno and disco. In cahoots they have a dark and persuasive sound.  
 Up first is the powerful techno bumper ‘Tecno Misógino’ with its robust drums and bass and bold synth lines. As the title’s refrain is repeated over and over you get sucked into the track’s spell and happily roll with it. The arresting ‘Francesca (Wild At Heart)’ is all about cold synth slaps and no wave drums. It’s metallic and retro-futuristic and builds into a body jerking rhythm of the highest order.  
 The script then gets flipped on ‘Can You See Her’, which is a deeper and more mysterious number with sci-fi keys and spooky synths making for a perfectly eerie and late night slow techno track.  
 Berlin artist Sebastian Voigt then remixes ‘Tecno Misógino’ in his deep motorik style with thundering synths and crisp snares laid over a percolating drum line. It’s intense and enthralling whilst remaining fully controlled. Last of all, Mexican disco and house artist Bufi steps up to masterfully rework the same track. He makes it into a chugging, low slung prowler with a menacing bassline and raw biker disco percussion.  Yet again here La Dame Noir have served up a fresh modern dark disco package that packs real heat.

Well we are back from our summer holidays with a new PREMIERE FROM PARDON MOI!!!! Its part of an EP which is set to be released this weekend in preparation for the Andrew Weatherall Convenanza Festival!!! 

A little bit of text about it:

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still, the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.,,Swiftly bursting into the electronic scene in 2016, the duo managed to release a couple of EPs and singles on Nein Records and Emerald & Doreen Recordings and then drew the attention of one of the most interesting and diverse European labels - Gothenburg based Höga Nord Records.,,Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. The musical direction is toward the future. A utopia built in a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music doesn't stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.'

Fontän have had the honour to be remixed by some of the most interesting names in electronic music: Red Axes, Timothy J. Fairplay, Khidja, Mythologen and Pardon Moi give their take on tracks from the duo’s latest release Fontän (Höga Nord Rekords, 2017). The music moves in the landscapes of Leftfield, Techno, House and New Wave.
The evolution of Fontän continues from the cold and barren landscapes of the Swedish west coast, through some of the deepest cave like studios in Europe, out on to the continental club scene.

PREMIERE: Sauvage World - Soft Mechanics [Slow Motion Records] (2017)

Alejandro Molinari & Ignacio Itriago's new 'Fugitiv' project has been bubbling under for months, the odd play on Tronik Youth's radio show, setting fire to message boards and creating a lot of excitement. Mollinari has been quite prolific with releases and remixes on Nein, Blindetonation and Emerald & Doreen on his own and with Fugitiv, he and Intriago go one step further into the electronic ether.
Jordan Lieb, AKA Black Light Smoke is a bit of an enigma, having being picked up by the legendary Mr C for label SuperfreQ, playing live sets at Fabric as well as all over his native US. (Leaving aside the fact that he has won an Emmy!) 
Lieb's take on Compoforest comes on like Silent Shout Era Knife fronted by Talking Heads's David Byrne.  Cowbells, a slowmo kick and a savage bassline giving way to a sexy vocal 80s sounding synths and a slight lack of balance giving this track no shortage of crossover potential.  Edgy enough for Berlin, sleek enough for Paris Fashion Week.
This is yet another winner from Nein, another victory for Black Light Smoke and nothing short of an explosion to the scene for Fugitiv.  Do it.  Get to the Compoforest.  Do it NOW!

Spanish disco dreamer James Rod is back on Paper with some superb cosmic business. The psychedelic artwork made by Fama de America is a good indicator of what's on the EP, out there aceness!

Belong City has a classic arpeggiated bass with effected guitar, 80s synths and crashing pads as it builds with heavy atmospherics. After the break, things are stripped things back as the bass follows a new progression but the the vibe stays. This is cosmic disco at its best and if you're a fan of DJ Harvey's sets, its for you.

Manchester's own cosmonaut, Daco is drafted in behind the controls and space is the destination. Loose rhythms, analogue synths, big room atmospheres and 4am stylings make this another must-have.

Chamanes Ochenteros keeps the cosmic but is more laid-back affair. Synths and arps are in full effect as the track wears its italo influences loud and proud. Its like the best 80s theme tune you've never heard but with modern production.

Bergen's Leca gives the track the full Norwegian wobble treatment. Sub and square bass make room for the acid as reverberated styling and groove take things weird and wonderful.
