Two of our incredibly talented, graduated @NightBassRecords Freshmen teamed up to deliver us this next release. @Blossomdj and @myShdws unveil the “Mind Games” EP, donning two major collaborations and two solo bangers. The first collab “Lotta Cash” kicks it off with fun sample work and a textured rolling bassline leading right into the looming intro on the collaborative “Mental”, followed by a bass-heavy drop. Blossom makes modulation great again in this next one, “Modulate”, and Shdws finishes off the package with bassline banger “Pull Up”. How long will youth be? Although for me it's never really clear where an initial idea will take me eventually, I always wanted to create something that would correspond to the nostalgic feeling of being young and careless, or better: carefree. As for ‘Youth', I right away was hooked with the melody in combination with the bassline. This then made me want to create a purely melodically driven, almost triumphant piece that - no matter where and when it would be played - would transport a certain liberating feeling and I hope everyone can relate to it's comfortable yet demanding atmosphere. I wish it to make us thoughtful and losing thoughts at the same time. Let's think about moments in the past that were beautiful enough to shape the ones in the future. ‘Youth’, for all the ambivalences and ambiguities it stands for, is never over!

Welcome to the 13th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

Aimed squarely at the dance floor & with mastering by @Christian-Burkhardt & @JanDriver, the latest PuzzleProjectsMusic release comes in the form of a fully original debut release from label head - UK 🇬🇧 producer @BenSpaldingOfficial & @RonaldChristoph- the renowned German 🇩🇪 musician and producer.

The duo struck up a prolific partnership, with a number of tracks produced in just a few days of studio time. The creative chemistry led to a batch of cuts that project visceral energy, designed to get people moving. With particular attention given to the sound design, these tunes are ideal for massive rigs. These are weapons-grade rave tracks full of dynamism and energy lingering between Acid House & Detroit Techno.

First up is 'Thumper' (PPM0022) which lets us know exactly what this release is all about - the rave. As the title suggests this one stomps all over the dance floor, early rave influences pulsate through its bloodstream, with a slammin' bassline, adding in a streetwise vocal sample and inject riotous energy with an unusual, yet highly effective breakdown. 

Next up is 'Burning It Down' (PPM0023), which ensnares you from the off with its alluring bassline. A sensual, acid-flecked cut, 'Burning It Down' features two distinct vocals, one male and one female, both describing a 'dance floor made of matches'. Later, the male voice narrates a late-night tale, as old school piano keys pepper the background. It's a wildly infectious start to the release with persuasive energy and rhythmic arrangement designed to put you into a state of musical hypnosis.

Ben Spalding and Ronald Christoph have cultivated a fruitful relationship in the studio, combining their respective experience and creativity to produce absolute dynamite. They have bonded with each other to maximum effect and blending their best ideas to create truly unique original grooves. Straight-up club vibes for diehard ravers. 

Expect big things to come from this pair in the coming years.
