Bathe Alone’s first single, “Decade & Dreams”, offers you just a taste of what’s to come on the sophomore album Fall With The Lights Down (via The Record Machine). Led by Bailey Crone, the song pairs dream-pop sounds with a moody arrangement and hefty layers of familiar ambience. “Decades & Dreams'' celebrates friendship and fearlessly looks toward the future. Complete with propulsive new-wave a-la reverb chamber energy, Crone toasts “to memories and dreams / to our decades and dreams.”

The single artwork and music video for "Decades & Dreams" were inspired by old photos of both of her great-grandmothers on a boating trip together, "where they looked completely miserable," says Crone. The video shows Bailey and her best friend — and inspiration behind the actual song — made up in full grandma finery, complete with chunky orange life vests and curly gray hair. The two share a toast to nostalgia and relive youthful adventures in the bittersweet visual.

Bathe Alone is a one-woman band by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bailey Crone. Bailey plays everything on the song from drums, guitar, bass, to vocals. Her debut single The Silence is lyrically about the feeling of being alone and how it relates to her past history with panic attacks and grieving the loss of friends and loved ones. Written in a mixolydian key, the song's mood is supposed to be neither happy nor sad. The Silence will appear on Bathe Alone's debut LP titled Last Looks in 2020. Thematically the song and the album are about loss and the concept of absence that follows it.

Tarot Cards is a song where the lyrics, riffs, and all the tangible things in music come secondary to the mood. At least in Bathe's mind. This song was created to capture a mood and a feeling best not described, but experienced. Having Synesthesia, Bathe encourages everyone to hold still and get lost in the reverb, letting your mind surround you with waves of color; an experience unique to each individual.

All I Wanted

Calm Down is Bathe Alone's 4th single and will appear on her upcoming LP "Last Looks" coming this 2020. Calm Down showcases the faster side of Bathe Alone's discography, with guitar solos and drums that never quit. The song is lyrically about panic attacks and how mental health can plague everyday life. The instruments themselves metaphorically sound like what a panic attack feels like, with the guitar solos descending just to ramp back up again. The outro of the song showcases what it feels like to finally calm down as Bathe Alone brings the listener along with her into a sense of peace.

Calm Down

While the track "Calm Down" was about panic attacks in the moment, "Champagne" is about panic attacks in the retrospective. Poor mental health can plague everyday life, and after a while it becomes fatiguing. When you avoid doing things in life for fear it will cause another attack, it becomes a disorder. Your whole life evolves around it, you're always on guard, and you're always taking into consideration how what you're about to do will affect you.

The first verse in "Champagne" talks about seeing random strangers out in the world and wondering what it would be like to trade lives with them. Freaky Friday style. The second verse touches on the same image. "I'm looking over shoulders and seeing everybody fine and how they don't mind" means exactly that. Everybody seems fine. But are they? Are they also dealing with internal demons and seeing me as a random stranger and thinking that I look fine? Is grass always greener on the other side?

In the chorus, "waking up with champagne" is a metaphor for all the blessing I have in my life. Even though I struggle with my own issues, I have to many things to be grateful for. Yet, this line is followed with "are you gonna be afraid every day?" If I have so much to be grateful for, why do I have to worry about struggling with my issues? Can't I just let it go, and enjoy my life? The rest of the chorus says "it comes in numbers. Would you have a life to trade for always?" This asks if it is so bad that I'd really want to permanently trade lives with someone? Again, is grass always greener on the other side?

"Champagne" asks a lot of questions. It's a reflective piece on a very after-the-fact perspective of mental health. Thanks for listening.

"In Deep" is Bathe Alone's 80's inspired Dream Pop anthem that will be featured on her Debut Commercial LP "Last Looks". Lyrically, the song is about a relationship that has been brought to fruition only to be deteriorated by self-sabotage and what that loss feels like as the non-offending party.

Go Away is Bathe Alone's 6th single to come off of her upcoming LP, Last Looks, which will release 2020. Go Away was influenced by the writing style of Beach House and was written within days of writing The Silence. Since her head was in such a similar place lyrically and aesthetically, Go Away is considered a sister song to The Silence.

Limbo is the final single off of Bathe Alone's debut LP "Last Looks". After acquiring a hand-me-down Roland JX3P from her husband's father, she made an entire synth pop song based around the sounds of the 80's analog synth. Still staying true to her signature delay and reverb drenched guitar tone, Limbo inspires new colors and psychedelic vibes to play with and encapsulates yet another world to immerse yourself in. Lyrically, Limbo indirectly skirts around the topic of religion in a make-believe world where a girl has committed suicide from jumping out a window and has landed in Limbo. In a dream-like state, this girl is walking around without a destination, but acknowledges the pulling feelings one has to leave said situation once becoming self aware.

Bathe Alone is the dream-pop moniker of multi-instrumentalist Bailey Crone. Taking shape in Atlanta, her haunting approach to songwriting and delicate vocal deliveries often draw comparisons to Beach House, Widowspeak, and The xx.

Growing up with a formal background in classical music, Crone first burrowed her way into the Peach State's indie scene as a teenager. She picked up drums, guitar, and bass early on, where she eventually discovered a distinct identity and connection to each instrument. With a drumming vocabulary more akin to the punk world and ambient guitar drenched in delay, the foundations for Bathe Alone were starting to crystallize.

After tinkering and fine tuning her sound even further, Crone enlisted the help of producer Damon Moon — who immediately recognized an untapped potential in the project. Within months they completed what would become Bathe Alone's debut LP, Last Looks. The 2021 album quickly caught fire and received praise from publications like Under The Radar, DittyTV, and more. Recently the team finished her sophomore full-length, Fall With The Lights Down — due out this summer via Kansas City label The Record Machine. With eyes fixed towards the future, Bathe Alone has a lot to look forward to.
