Totally Mild - From One Another

"Catharsis" is primarily about society's false perception of crying. Catharsis is essentially purging oneself of suppressed emotion, A.K.A, crying. Society would have us believe that crying is a sign of weakness and lack of control. I, along with many other psychologists, would argue against this claim.  Crying is a healthy part of humanity and is essential for an abundant life.  Crying encourages compassion, understanding, sympathy, empathy,comfort, and trust; things the world could use a little more of.  This song was written in hopes that those who refuse to cry would realize that we are meant to cry.  We were built to produce tears for a reason.  God gave us tears to cry. So cry.
