Garage aficionado @toddedwards3000 takes on monster remix duties this month with his next track on @strictlyrhythm - a pumped up rework of the '93 house classic from @little-louie-vega (Hardrive), 'Deep Inside'.

"Masters At Work have been one of the biggest inspirations for my music. So, it was an honour for me to be able to remix “Little” Louie Vega’s classic," Edwards said of his next release. "For the remix I made sure that the music was nothing short of positive vibes and also a nod to MAW’s tribal drums style.”

the future of gay house is in its past.

While the party of fierte raged at olympique stadium, the ever present circuit house AKA gay house FKA tribal house/guaracha was being played (I should know, I left from there directly to play this set)  Ever since my first exposure to the circuit scene, I was always in analysis mode...where did this music come from and what makes it gay? The history is largely ignored, as this is specific music for a specific purpose...gay parties...and is mostly functional...it has to sound gay. I do not believe this music in its current form is ever listened to outside of gay clubs. 

In this mix I seek to show some of the elements and samples that are present in modern day circuit party music. A combination of US Garage, meets Latin house.....which then gave way to tribal house and the sound factory scene. You can also not forget the role chicago and LA hard house plays in this. This music has very broad dynamics unexplored today and ranges from deep, to the worst tribal house remix you have ever heard in your life. These records largely remain in dollar bins waiting to be explored. The fact that circuit party/tribal, vogue music, and even UK garage are all inspired by some of the same breaks....you could never tell that from where the music is at today.
