Battles on the block (BOTB) is a South African rap battle league based in Cape Town. Main intention is to help rappers expand their fanbase through the emerging rap battle industry which is currently taking over a large market share of the hip hop industry and continuing to grow fast.  Battles on the block (BOTB) is a TV show currently broadcasting on YouTube.com, the content is mostly rap battles, the language is mainly English to reach out to the international market.  The rappers are given 4-8 weeks to prepare for their battles. BOTB is looking at working with sponsors , partners and clients that will help in increasing/expanding the platform and be one of the most recognized rap battle leagues in the world and feature a lot of battle rappers around Africa
