This song was based on a tape made at John Lennon's 31st Birthday Party in a Syracuse, NY hotel room.  Where John and Yoko were joined by Ringo and Maureen, Klaus Voorman, Allen Ginsberg, Jim Keltner, Mal Evans, Neil Aspinall and Eric Clapton.  The original indistinct underlying recording of 'Tandoori Chicken' was made on the 9th October 1971.  It was de-noised and normalised where the 'clean track' has had other instruments - Rhythm Guitar, 12-String, Bass & Goblet Drum added.  My first burst into a 'meaty accompaniment' with such esteemed company.  'Hope that you enjoy it?  :-R

2012 is a momentous year in the history of the Small Faces

On April 14th the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. The year also sees the results of the first ever complete upgrade of the band’s catalogue.

With the full co-operation of both surviving members, Kenney Jones and Ian
McLagan, the last five years have seen a massive programme of tape recovery
and upgrading. Masters have been pulled in from all over the world, including
Immediate label multi-tracks from the Kenney Jones and Charly Records archives.

Using these, it is now possible to represent all of the Small Faces’ original albums sounding better than at any time since the sixties and to add a whole host of newly discovered tracks and alternative versions. The new editions will also feature original artwork and contemporary photos and publicity material alongside comprehensive new notes by band experts.The new vinyl edition is a lavish recreation of the 5-panel award- winning original round sleeve. This is a strictly limited, individually numbered edition of 3,000 units, on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl with an additional round 4-page booklet and housed in a heavy duty plastic sleeve.

The CD special edition of Ogdens’ is a three CD package in a round cardboard box which incorporates the elements from the original vinyl release.  The three discs are the mono album, a stereo album  and a third CD of previously unreleased material including alternative mixes and backing tracks. The package also includes a 24 page round booklet, a pre-numbered certificate for this special edition of 5000, and six colour beer mats/coasters.
