Disco Halal alumni, Indieveed and YAME, release their debut collaborative single, ‘Polaris’. A nod to the eccentric 80s disco of Yello and Devo, but with an interstellar twist.

The origins of the tracks production came from Indieveed, known for his melodic and atmospheric sound, but it was when YAME stepped into the studio that the wild nature of ‘Polaris’ came to fruition. As they describe “This track was influenced by disco of 80s and 90s music but presented our way. First, the music recorded by Indieveed appeared, after which YAME were invited to add their customary, tongue-in-cheek vocals and production elements".

‘Polaris’ has one aim, to make people dance, and it does one hell of a job.

Ezy is one of many artists on the city’s fast techno scene with a history in the punk scene and has built a reputation for delivering tight sets merging fast trippy old-school techno, with low key alternative goa and psytrance cuts, free sounds and own productions.

His style is percussive and energetic, skilfully shifting from funky and agile to gloomy and ghosty. Ezy has released tracks on BunkerBauer, UTE Recs, Fast Forward and is soon releasing his debut EP on his own label Tricky Grain.

It’s about time; a fellow Mexican alchemist and kindred spirit, Colossio’s dark disco melting pot and strong political energy has bubbled to the same beat as label imprint since the very beginning. Previously spotted on the label remixing Theus Mago and Local Suicide in 2019, he’s now back with three formidable slabs of tightly - sprung timelessness and a remix from Dominik Marz.
Each cut more foreboding than the last, ‘Inocência’ lives up to its name as the most playful cut of the collection. A gently cascading arpeggio takes the lead as classic Yello-style pitched vocals add fun and human warmth to the mix. Bawrut is a Madrid based, Italian born producer and DJ. 

Heavily influenced by the work of Chicago pioneers, the established European teachers and every sound he can find on the internet or in digging sessions, Bawrut’s taste toes a wonderfully balanced line between classics and brand new tracks.
 
Beginning by delivering his own music, mixtapes and goodies from his online headquarters, Silencio, his first forays into production received a warm welcome from a selection of DJs around the world before the online platform Ransom Note decided to launch their own label with a 12” of his material. 

Made up of music taken from Bawrut’s digital Silencio releases EP01 and EP02, R$N001 boasts the tracks ‘Ciquita’ and ‘1234’ which have been supported by people like Jackmaster, Axel Boman, Erol Alkan and Man Power. The Balearic godfather Alfredo has aslo shown his appreciation for the release and Bill Brewster introduced ‘Ciquita’ as a “crazy, mid ‘80s, slightly demented, Spanish/acid type of track we used to played in Ibiza”.
 
Mixmag, DJ Mag, Test Pressing and Data Transmission have also proclaimed R$N001 as one of the freshest releases of 2016 so far.
