trying to exist in the present but your past is catching you. you don’t know what it is but there is deep rooted pain. you’ve put in the work. you’ve tried to change. but it’s chronic

and you’re not too bad. just about normal. but you know you'll never feel good enough

you know the emotions you carry are a unique feeling. only a few will understand. leaving a deep sense of misunderstanding and fleeting connection with the majority

so there's nothing left to do

except pouring. drowning. just sometimes

and tomorrow is another day. trying again to show face. to heal. a battle with these feelings. an invisible exhausting path of self-acceptance

we could have gone by now. but we are staying with these feelings until the end. and so we are appreciating those on the way. in our own way. the few who are receptive and show understanding for this journey
