This is a little mix I have done of some of my favourite Dilla tracks and beats... a legend of Hip Hop and a musical hero of mine. JD was 'The King of Beats' and a King on the Mic too. To be honest the mix could have been hours and hours long with the amount of banging tracks and beats he produced in his prolific but tragically short career. Man I've listened to his tunes so much I feel like I actually knew the guy.
RIP James Yancey, and thanks for all the music that you gave.
