Kurt Hustle and producer Benjo Beats began creating beautiful music for both your earholes and souls when they were separately and coincidentally relocated to Sacramento from San Francisco. Taken as some sort of drunken serendipity, the two purged their first EP, “Bottle Behavior,” on 12/31/13, and their latest EP, “Red, White & Booze” on July 4, 2014. Benjo Beats' production range is unsettling for fellow producers, whether he makes beats from scratch, or samples, his shit gives your ears' boners. His production ties together a myriad of sounds from authentic hip-hop slappers, to the more recently popular dub-electro, post-rap bangers. Self-proclaimed “honorary king of social commentary,” Kurt Hustle teeters back and forth from impossibly categorical and definition weary to fundamentally acknowledging, spewing a jam-packed arsenal of words to simultaneously scare the shit out of and inspire true hip-hop heads and 16 year old girls alike, all the while forcing them to nod their heads in unison. They've played shows separately and collectively from SF to Sac, South Lake and back with plans for a tour on the horizon.
