From the upcoming EP 'inference' by ccontrary.

"the ep “inference” is the end point and at the same time the beginning of what the listener faces. there is an idea in it, but not specifically mine. I give the listener this freedom to evaluate and try emotions and feelings caused after listening . However, I put the concept of acceptance, or rather, the stage of response to the inevitable, in the names of the tracks themselves. There are all 5 of them, but as for me the most significant are:”wrath”, “dejection” and “acceptance”."

"The first song “wrath” is probably the most emotional and expressive. Anger is open aggression, the denial of something inevitable, because every new information that goes beyond our perception most often causes this particular emotion. This‘s why it seems to me that this name is the most suitable for such a dynamic and perhaps an “evil” track. in addition, there are high sounds in it that lay something positive in its perception (perhaps, not always something new is something bad)."



Polina aka ccontrary is a 19 year old producer from Russia who's been involved with music since the age of 5.

@hadji-hajj is a French artist and composer who recently debuted on the @bfdmrec. He is a co-founder of Dawn, member of Schnell Records, which develops the concept of Dadaism in  music, and host of Souffrance FM on LYL Radio, that is built around contemporary musical movements, from trap to post-internet experimentations and futuristic beats. 

For the Tightmix series, Hajj has prepared a story with "different colors and moods," which combines the soundtrack from anime 'Perfect Sadness' by Masahiro Ikumi, eerie screams from 'Crushed' by Ronce, French hip-hop from Freeze Corleone, grime by Big Shot, jungle from Dom Perignon & Djin and dub by Systemwide - all variety of genres that fully reflect the artist's vision of modern music.

Tightmix 7 — Hajj

CLMxGUN is happy to present Chain of Whispers, a two-fold EP exploring further collaborative production processes. Like a murmur in the wind, a secret being delivered from ear to ear, it is born from a playful approach to sound manipulation and its transformation when passed from one hand to another. An embodiment of how music can be altered by each and every contribution.

Through a defined set of constraints based on the Telephone game, the concept is simple : each successive track is a remix of the previous one, and the contributors could not hear what was done before them. So on and so forth. A continuous cycle of appropriation and re-interpretation.

From this experiment resulted two 7-track EPs, two chains which gathered 11 artists, each with their own identity and their own input. With each new link in the chain, the sound mutates, speeds up or slows down - some of its elements are exacerbated, while others are concealed or juxtaposed to new ones.

The second chain welcomes 71W3, GRIG, jjjacob, Lithe, Lukann, and SNKLS. Covering a broad spectrum of sounds, it moves back and forth between heavy club material and ethereal soundscapes, finding peace and closure in this constant state of unrest.
