A demo created on home recording equipment by my old (well, we were young then!) band Sacred Blue Walrus.  This is a simple instrumental to give each band member a little solo. Generally went down well live.

Normally, I only post songs that I have written but I decided to post this home demo recording that we did in Sacred Blue Walrus (circa 1993). A cover of the great Willie Dixon song "My Babe", of which Little Walter recorded the definitive version. 
I was searching all the wonderful versions available on soundcloud  and figured I might as well add our take as well.

This was originally written while playing around with Deluxe Music Construction set on my Amiga 500 back in the late 80s. Recently reconstructed it note by note in Musescore on the PC. This is the exported MP3 from that product.

Tobacco Road (Cover) - Sacred Blue Walrus Demo

This is an acoustic demo version of my song played many years ago by Sacred Blue Walrus. I had no decent recordings of it, so I have made this.  The song, written 30 years ago, started out with the intent of being a comic song, based on an in-joke between friends ("barmaids and waitresses"), but turning into more of a portrait of a fool. As most works of fiction put it... "Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental"
