Jake Godel, who has a partial disability has been awarded the 'aspiring Star' award at this year's Customer Service Awards. Jake, who was searching hard for a job decided to offer his full time services for FREE in order to prove himself. Colonel Richard Kemp -- who commanded British forces in Afghanistan in 2006 -- says that allowing women to join infantry or tank regiments would be detrimental to the military's fighting ability.

It was the talking point with Kevin Pamplin on BBC Radio Jersey and one of his callers was Bruce Willing from Grouville.

He spent 30 years experience in the Army and commanded a Batallion in the 1980s in Northern Ireland, 30 percent was female and he had a different view - have a listen.

How easy is it in Jersey to use public transport if you have a disability?

Bus companies in the UK have welcomed "much needed clarification" from the Court of Appeal over whether they are legally bound to force parents with buggies and other passengers to make way for wheelchair users in disability bays on their vehicles.

Three appeal judges unanimously decided the companies were not bound.

Here in Jersey what is it like to be a wheelchair user and rely on using the islands buses to get around.

 It's about to become one of the busiest times of year at the airport, as maybe your are getting ready to fly home for christmas or see loved ones away from the island.

As we know sometimes things happen and you can get stuck, which was the case for one islander Andrea Moore had a nightmare journey home to Northern Ireland after her Easyjet flight from Jersey to Liverpool was delayed following a technical issue.

However Andrea was not going to let it go and decided to follow things up as she explained to BBC Radio Jersey's Kevin Pamplin

Yesterday, residents from the Jersey Cheshire home, which cares for people with disabilities, put their gloves and hats on and went wheelchair ice-skating at Fort Regent.

Jersey's Police say the disappearance of a 20 year old Jersey man is 'unusual and out of character'.

Adrian Lynch was last seen at 2am on Saturday 5th of December 2015 at Bon Air Riding Stables in St Lawrence.


UPDATE - Missing 20 yr old Adrian Lynch

All of Jersey's emergency services are involved in the search of missing 20 year old, Adrian Lynch. 

The electrician, was last seen at two in the morning on Saturday in St Lawrence.

Chief Inspector, Lee Turner, says his disappearance is 'unusual and out of character.

Jersey's police want to speak to a driver who may have spoken to missing man, Adrian Lynch, on the night he went missing. 

The 20 year old was last seen more than a week ago after he was dropped off at midnight in the Carrefour Selous area of St Lawrence, following a work party.

Detective Superintendent Stewart Gull from the States of Jersey Police say it's important to talk to the driver.
