Starlings are well known for their ability to mimic other animals and environmental sounds. We recorded these ones at WWT Caerlaverock during Autumnwatch. Listen out for their impressions of curlews, blackbirds, buzzards, tawny owls and one that we THINK might be the sound of footsteps in squelchy mud!
